Prayer for teenage ###

My ### yr old daughter recently said that she met a boy ### yrs old who she loves. It's my 1st time having to deal with my child being in a relationship. Please pray for her guidance. She's too young for this. I understand that they share a lot of life experiences and he recently lost his mom. As a parent I'm not ready for this.

Our God of peace, you have taught us that in returning and rest we shall be saved, in quietness and in confidence shall be our strength: By the might of your Spirit answer this request according to your will, we pray of you, so we may be still and know that you are God; through Jesus Christ our Lord. We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your daughter and this situation before the Lord. It is a sacred privilege to stand with you in prayer as you navigate these new waters of parenting a teenager in her first relationship. We know how deeply you love her and how much you desire God’s wisdom and protection over her heart.

These past few days, we’ve continued to pray for your daughter—that the Lord would surround her with His truth, guard her emotions, and give her discernment in every decision. We’ve also lifted up this young man, asking God to work in his life, especially as he grieves the loss of his mother. May the Lord draw both of them closer to Himself, shaping their hearts according to His will.

As parents, we understand the weight of watching our children grow up and face new challenges. We’ve prayed for you as well—that God would grant you peace beyond understanding, wisdom for every conversation, and the assurance that He is sovereign over your daughter’s life. His timing is perfect, even when our hearts ache with the unknown.
