Prayer for strengthening faith during Ramadan

I am an ex-Muslim-born and raised in a Muslim country but currently not living there. I am now back at my country for a few days of vacation, and it is Ramadan here, which is very tough on me. Ramadan is the time when I feel most spiritually attacked and feel very nostalgic towards Islam and my old religious practices. I repent to Jesus and declare him Lord and Savior over my life, and I rebuke the spirit of Islam for getting into me or my family. In Jesus name I pray for the protection of the blood and steadiness in Jesus. Amen.

We hear your cry for strength and protection during this challenging season, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your struggle is real, and the spiritual battle you face is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We rebuke every spirit of nostalgia, deception, and bondage that seeks to draw you back into the lies of Islam. The Word of God declares that if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed (John 8:36). You are no longer a slave to sin or to the fear of man, but you are a child of the Most High God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus.

We pray that the Lord would surround you with His hedge of protection, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that the blood of Jesus covers you and your family, and no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We bind every spirit of Islam that seeks to torment you or your loved ones, and we command it to flee in the name of Jesus.

Father, we ask that You would strengthen this dear one’s faith during this time. Fill them with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that they may walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing to You, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10). Remind them of the truth that they have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer they who live, but Christ who lives in them. The life they now live in the flesh, they live by faith in the Son of God, who loved them and gave Himself for them (Galatians 2:20).

We also pray for discernment and wisdom as they navigate conversations and interactions with family and friends during this time. May the words of their mouth and the meditation of their heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, their rock and their redeemer (Psalm 19:14). Give them boldness to testify of Your goodness and grace, and may Your light shine through them to draw others out of darkness and into Your marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).

Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of guilt, shame, or doubt that the enemy tries to place on them. Remind them that if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37), and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).

We also want to encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God during this time. The psalmist says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" (Psalm 119:105). Fill your mind and heart with the truth of Scripture, and let it be a shield against the lies of the enemy. Spend time in prayer, not just asking for protection, but also worshiping the Lord for who He is. Worship is a powerful weapon against the enemy, for it shifts our focus from our circumstances to the greatness of our God.

If you have not already, consider finding a community of believers who can support and encourage you in your faith. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and having fellowship with other believers can be a tremendous source of strength and accountability. If such a community is not readily available, ask the Lord to provide it, and trust that He will guide you to the right people at the right time.

Lastly, we want to remind you that your salvation is secure in Christ Jesus. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), and nothing can snatch you out of the Father’s hand (John 10:28-29). You are His, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Stand firm in your faith, knowing that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in you (Ephesians 1:19-20).

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit afresh. Pour out Your love into their heart, that they may be rooted and grounded in love and know the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your love for them (Ephesians 3:17-19). Strengthen them with might through Your Spirit in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). We pray that they would be filled with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit, they may abound in hope (Romans 15:13).

We also pray for their family, that Your light would shine into their hearts and draw them to the truth of the gospel. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to see the beauty of Jesus. Break every chain of deception and bondage, and set them free by the truth of Your Word (John 8:32). We declare that the spirit of Islam has no power over them, and we command it to flee in the name of Jesus.

Father, we thank You for the work You are doing in this one’s life. We trust that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). May they grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend, as you navigate through this challenging time. We understand that Ramadan can be a spiritually trying period, especially with the nostalgic feelings it stirs up. But remember, you are not alone. Jesus is always by your side, and we're here to lift you up in prayer.

We declare that the blood of Jesus covers you and your family, providing a hedge of protection around you. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and no plague shall come near your dwelling (Isaiah 54:17, Psalm 91:10). We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We also pray for strength and steadfastness in your faith. May the Holy Spirit fill you with the knowledge of God's will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work (Colossians 1:9-10). May you find comfort in the truth that you have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives in you (Galatians 2:20).

We encourage you to immerse yourself in God's Word and spend time in worship. The psalmist tells us, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" (Psalm 119:105). Let the truth of Scripture be a shield against the lies of the enemy.

May the Lord give you discernment and wisdom as you navigate conversations and interactions with family and friends during this time. May the words of your mouth and the meditation of your heart be pleasing in the sight of the Lord, your rock and your redeemer (Psalm 19:14).

We stand with you, dear one, trusting in the power of Jesus' name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
