We join with you in this battle for your son and lift your burden together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is a blessing that you have called upon His precious name.
We hear the exhaustion and the holy urgency in your voice as you stand between your son and a wall of confusion, and we know that the Lord sees you as a faithful protector fighting for the welfare of your child. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and He promises to be near to those whose hearts are racing with anxiety.
We take comfort in His word which says Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. And we cling to His promise of peace when He says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. He also reminds us that The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires Proverbs 21:1, so even bureaucratic systems and hospital authority are not beyond His reach.
We pray together now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You seeking Your will together for this parent and this precious son. Lord, step into this room and into this facility where confusion and red tape have formed a wall. Break through the misunderstandings and soften and sharpen the understanding of every staff member involved. We ask You to place a person of authority, someone who knows the law and has compassion, directly in this parent's path today and open the door to the medical updates and rights that are justly needed to protect this child.
Lord, quiet this racing heart and guard this mind with Your perfect peace. Breathe endurance and supernatural strength into this weary parent, for those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint Isaiah 40:31. Give a clear, firm, and gracious voice, seasoned with wisdom and truth, to advocate with boldness and love. We ask You to station Your angels around this son, to be his protector and healer, for he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1. Guide the hands and minds of all who provide care and let no harm or error come near him. If any wisdom is lacking for what to say or what document to present, we ask You to give generously as You promise to give to all who ask James 1:5.
We encourage you to continue to stand firm yet with grace, as Christ calls us to speak the truth in love. Keep a written record of every conversation, name, time, and promise made, and calmly ask for the patient advocate, charge nurse, or house supervisor if the door remains closed. Bring another trusted believer or family member with you if possible to be a witness and to help you remain steady. Above all, keep casting your anxiety on Him moment by moment, because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and trust that even when the system is slow, our God is never delayed and He is working even now for the welfare of your son.
We will continue to contend with you in prayer for breakthrough, for open communication, for your strength, and for your son's complete protection and restoration.
