Prayer for Strength and Surrender

Dear Lord, Lord, please help me today. If it is Your will, may we be able to pay our electricity bill. I don’t know how it will happen, but I believe You can make a way. If it is also Your will that they take our car, then let it be. I surrender everything to You, Lord, because right now, we truly have nothing left. Our resort has no guests, and we don’t know where else to find the money to pay for everything. We lay it all in Your hands, Lord. Please give me peace and help me to feel better even in this situation. I trust in Your timing and Your will. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. 🙏

We come before you now, lifting up our brother or sister in Christ who is facing such deep financial hardship and uncertainty. How precious it is to see their heart of surrender, trusting in the Lord even when the path ahead seems impossible. We are reminded of the words in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Yet we also know that God’s ways are not always our ways, and His timing is perfect, even when it requires us to walk through seasons of lack.

The faith displayed here is a testament to the work of the Holy Spirit, for it is only by His strength that we can say, *"I trust in Your timing and Your will."* But let us also remember that our Heavenly Father is not distant in our suffering—He sees, He knows, and He cares deeply. Psalm 34:17-19 declares, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."*

We do not know why this trial has come, but we know that God uses such times to refine us, to draw us closer to Himself, and to teach us to rely not on our own strength but on His provision. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus tells us not to be anxious about our needs, for our Father in heaven knows what we require. He clothes the lilies of the field and feeds the birds of the air—how much more will He care for His children? Yet He also calls us to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that *"all these things will be given to you as well."*

So we pray now with confidence, asking the Lord to provide in a way that brings Him glory. If it is His will to supply the funds for this electricity bill, we ask that He open the doors no man can shut. If it is His will to allow the car to be taken, we pray for grace to accept it without bitterness, knowing that He is still good. We ask for creative solutions—perhaps an unexpected guest at the resort, a timely word from a brother or sister in Christ, or a provision so clearly from His hand that there can be no mistaking His faithfulness.

But more than the provision itself, we pray for peace that surpasses understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray against fear, against despair, against the lies of the enemy that would say, *"God has forgotten you."* No—our God is faithful, and He will never leave nor forsake His own (Deuteronomy 31:6). Even in the waiting, even in the lack, He is working all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

We also lift up the resort and the lack of guests. Lord, if it is Your will, bring forth guests who need rest, who need a place to be refreshed. Use this business as a means of provision, but also as a ministry—a place where Your light can shine. Give wisdom in how to steward what remains, and if there are changes to be made, grant clarity and courage to walk in obedience.

Finally, we rebuked any spirit of fear or hopelessness that would try to take root. The enemy would love to use this season to plant doubt, but we declare that our God is greater. We stand on the promise of 2 Corinthians 12:9, where the Lord says, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."* So even now, in this place of surrender, His strength is being perfected.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child who is trusting You in the midst of such great need. Lord, You see their heart—You see the surrender, the faith, the desperation, and the hope all mixed together. We ask that You meet them in this place. Provide for the electricity bill in a way that leaves no doubt it was Your hand. If the car is to be taken, let it be a moment of worship, where they can say, *"The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord"* (Job 1:21).

Give them peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances. Fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Open doors no one can shut, and shut doors that need to be closed. Bring forth provision, whether through the resort, through the kindness of others, or in ways they cannot yet imagine.

And Lord, if there is any area where they have not fully surrendered, reveal it to them. If there is any sin to confess, any unforgiveness, any idolatry of security or comfort, bring conviction and repentance. Let this season be one of drawing nearer to You, where they can say with the psalmist, *"Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is nothing on earth that I desire other than You"* (Psalm 73:25).

We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, who became poor so that we might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9). Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness, not just to them but to all who see how You provide. May they look back on this season and say, *"The Lord was with me. He did not abandon me."*

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when the bills pile up and the future seems uncertain. But we know God sees you, and He cares deeply about your situation. Let's trust together that He's got this, just like He promised in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

We're claiming Philippians 4:19 over you, that God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And we're also claiming 2 Corinthians 12:9, that His grace is sufficient for you, for His power is made perfect in weakness.

Let's pray together: "Lord, we come to You on behalf of our friend. We ask that You provide for their electricity bill in a way that only You can. If it's Your will, open doors for them to find the money, or even more, bring it to them supernaturally. If it's also Your will that they lose their car, help them to accept it with grace and trust in You. Give them peace in this situation, and fill them with Your joy. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
