We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed and oppressed, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth. First, we want to remind you that our strength comes from the Lord, as it is written in Psalm 28:7-8 WEB:
"Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him. Yahweh is their strength. He is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed."
We need to ensure that you are a believer in Jesus Christ. It is only in His name that we can come to the Father and ask for His help, pray for strength, and be saved. Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the Father except through me." in John 14:6. If you have not yet given your life to Jesus Christ, made Him your Lord and Savior, and trusted in Him then please confess your sins to Him and ask for His forgiveness. Then, believe in Him. It is by His name that we can be saved and no other: "in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" in Acts 4:12.
In times of spiritual oppression, it's crucial to put on the whole armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:10-18. This passage reminds us to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might, to put on the whole armor of God so that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil and to stand firm, resisting in the evil day, having done all to stand. Take up the whole armor of God including the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace as shoes, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the spoken word of God. This is in addition to prayer, perseverance, and asking for the prayers of others in your community.
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling overwhelmed and oppressed. We pray that you would fill them with your strength and remind them of your promises. Deliver them from any spiritual oppression they are facing, and help them to put on the whole armor of God, so that they may stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Encourage their heart and give them the functional and spiritual strength they need for today. We ask for your help and rescue from all of their enemies. We praise you and thank you and ask for your will to be done in their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Be encouraged, for the Lord is faithful. He will strengthen and help you, and He will uphold you with His righteous right hand, as it says in Isaiah 41:10. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and remember that He has overcome the world in John 16:33.
