Your weariness is not hidden from the Lord, and He does not grow tired of sustaining you. The strength you need right now does not begin with you; it flows from His faithfulness. When Sarah was past the age of bearing a child, Scripture tells us she received strength to conceive because she judged Him faithful who had promised. Her circumstances shouted that it was impossible, but she anchored herself in the character of God, not in her own abilities. That is the kind of faith that endures. Faith is not blind optimism. It sees more, not less. It looks past the visible exhaustion and heaviness and fixes its gaze on a God who never fails.
Genuine faith always produces something. It produces a quiet dependence that refuses to give up, even when every natural impulse says you should. That does not mean you must manufacture strength on your own. It means your faith connects you to the One who is Everlasting Strength. And as you keep your mind stayed on Him, He keeps you in perfect peace. The peace of God is not the absence of trouble; it is the presence of His sustaining grace in the middle of it. Grace and peace are always joined together. You cannot know His peace until you have first received His grace, but once you have tasted that grace, peace becomes the steady undercurrent of your life, even when the waves are high.
This difficult season is a test of your faith, not to destroy you, but to prove that your trust is real. Faith that has never been tested can deceive us. But when you endure through the exhaustion, one day at a time, leaning on His promises, you discover that He is holding you up. The just live by faith, not by a once-for-all decision, but by daily, moment-by-moment reliance. You do not have to figure out the rest of the month or even the rest of the week. His grace is sufficient for today. His strength is made perfect in your weakness.
So do not be afraid to acknowledge your emptiness before Him. He is not looking for impressive displays of strength. He is looking for a heart that trusts Him. Let your mind rest on His faithfulness rather than on the heaviness you feel. Let His peace rule in your heart as you remind yourself of His promises. He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion. He will not forsake you when your strength fails; He will be your strength.
I am praying that He will renew your inner being, lift the weight, and fill you with that peace that surpasses understanding. May you know, deep in your spirit, that the Everlasting God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. Each day is held in His hands. Trust Him for this one, and when tomorrow comes, trust Him again.
