We understand that you're going through a challenging time, facing spiritual warfare and the temptations that come with it. Firstly, we commend you for your desire to follow Jesus and your recognition that He is the answer. It is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father, and it is only through Jesus that we can be saved. As it is written, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB.
In spiritual warfare, it's crucial to put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. As Ephesians 6:11-18 WEB reminds us, "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints."
To avoid being lukewarm, remember the words of Jesus in Revelation 3:15-16 WEB, "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth." Strive to be on fire for God, always eager to do His will.
When facing temptations, remember the example of Jesus. When He was tempted by the devil, He responded with the Word of God, saying, "It is written..." Matthew 4:1-11 WEB. Make sure you are well-versed in Scripture, so you can likewise resist temptation.
Lastly, consider the words of 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." God will always provide a way out of temptation.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing spiritual warfare and temptation. Strengthen them in their faith, help them to put on the whole armor of God, and guide them in the way of escape when temptation comes. May the Holy Spirit fill them with the power to overcome any challenge, and may they grow in their desire to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
