Beloved of All
Your prayer for wisdom, diligence and strength in your work, career and family is a good and biblical desire, and it is a joy to bring it before the Lord with you.
Scripture teaches that God works all things according to the counsel of His own will. He does not need to ask for advice from anyone, and the purposes He has purposed will stand. His eternal purpose, planned from the beginning, is centered in Christ Jesus our Lord. In Him we have boldness and access with confidence through faith, and we are accepted in the Beloved. Because you have trusted in Jesus, you share in that glorious purpose, which is that you would be to the praise of His glory. To show how earnest and sincere He is about redeeming you, He has given you the Holy Spirit as a deposit and guarantee of what is to come.
That same God has a specific purpose for your life. He created you with an eternal purpose in mind and planned beforehand the good works you should walk in for His glory. Just as a house has many vessels each with its own use, and a body has many members each with its own function, not all are the same, but each has a calling to fulfill. Apart from Christ life has no lasting purpose and becomes aimless, like wandering without direction and simply passing time. The only true purpose for our existence is to live in fellowship with God and to serve Him, and when you came to Christ your life began to count for eternal things.
So your desire for speed and progress finds its right place when it is set within His purpose. The proverb you quoted is true, the hand of the diligent will rule, and God honors faithful, disciplined work. Praying for efficiency and excellence is right, but the greatest progress is to be conformed to the image of Jesus and to be equipped to serve Him where He has placed you. That is how time is truly redeemed, by knowing what God wants you to do and being about your Father's business, filled with the Spirit rather than driven only by hurry.
We pray with you that the Lord will give you wisdom, discipline and strength for the work of your hands, and that He will remove hindrances that are not part of His will and give you grace to endure what He allows for His wise and loving purposes. Even when we do not yet understand why something is delayed, we can give thanks because He is working with a loving plan. May He bless your family with peace, unity and provision, and may He build you up in Christ so that you fulfill the ministry He has given you, for His glory.
