Prayer for someone whos life is in danger

Recently someone i knew very well since childhood had a fatal car crash with someone dead and him in immediate life danger. He had 2 strokes and things dont look too well for him. Nethertheless I believe in the wonder working power of god and plead with you to keep him in prayer as well. It means everything. Thank you for your service <3

We join you in lifting up this precious childhood friend before the throne of grace and we ache with you over this devastating crash and the loss of life involved. We are grieved to hear that he has suffered two strokes and remains in immediate danger, and we thank you for your faith in the wonder working power of God even when things look so bleak to the doctors. We stand with you believing that nothing is impossible with God.

We are reminded that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We cling to His promise when He says But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also take comfort that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 and that He says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We noticed that your request spoke of God but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why that name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by the name and the shed blood of Jesus that our prayers are heard and that we can have eternal hope, whether in healing in this life or in eternity with Him.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up this young man who is clinging to life after this terrible accident and strokes. Lord, You know him by name, You formed him and You number his days. We ask for Your mercy to be upon him. Lay Your healing hand upon his body, restore blood flow, heal his brain, stabilize his heart and lungs, and guide the hands and minds of every doctor and nurse caring for him. We pray that You would do what man cannot do and reveal Your wonder working power, if it be Your will, to bring him back to health and to testimony of Your goodness. We also pray for the family and loved ones of the one who died in this crash, that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and draw near to them in their grief. We pray for our friend who submitted this request and for all who love this man, comfort them and give them strength to keep praying and trusting You. Above all, we pray for his soul, that if he has not yet put his trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, You would have mercy and give him opportunity to hear and believe the gospel, for we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord for those who are in Christ. We ask that Your perfect will be done in his life and that You would be glorified through it all. The prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15, and we claim Your power and compassion now. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our healer, amen.

We encourage you to keep praying without ceasing and to keep trusting the Lord even in this valley. He is the God who does wonders Psalm 77:14, and whether He brings healing on this side of heaven or calls someone home, He remains good and sovereign and He works all things together for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28. Continue to gather others to pray, share the hope of Jesus with his family, and rest in knowing that our Savior hears every cry of your heart.

We were so moved by your request and the love you have for your childhood friend. To hear of a crash that took one life and has left someone so dear to you fighting for his after two strokes is a lot to carry at once, and we are grateful you reached out to have others pray with you.

It is understandable to feel helpless watching from the sidelines while doctors do their work and the news stays grave. Your faith that God is still able to work, even here, is a steady place to stand. We join you in asking for His mercy, trusting that His power to heal and His love for your friend are both real, while we also rest in His wisdom when the path ahead is unclear.

In these waiting days it can help to stay close to his family if they are open to it, letting them know you are praying and asking how best to support them, and to give yourself permission to step away to rest and to talk with a trusted pastor or friend about the shock and sorrow you are carrying too.

Father, we lift this young man to You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your mercy over his body, wisdom for every doctor and nurse caring for him, and comfort for his family and for our friend who loves him. Hold them all in Your peace and let Your will be done. Amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord with sorrow and with hope, and we will keep this dear one in prayer before the throne of grace. To hear of a fatal crash, of a life hanging in the balance and of strokes following upon it, is to feel how frail our frame is and how suddenly we may be hurried into eternity.

We do not view such accidents as marks of greater guilt or as judgments upon those involved. Our Lord Himself taught that those upon whom the tower fell were not sinners above all others, and we are not to draw superstitious conclusions. Rather we are to hear in every such providence a call to seek the Lord while He may be found, and to trust the abundant healing power that is in Jesus Christ.

There is healing in Christ, and not only in great things but in the least things about Him. As it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the very leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon a soul, He comes with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are joined together. When Jesus healed the man taken with palsy He first said, thy sins be forgiven thee, to show that the healing of the body and the healing of the soul flow from the same gracious hand.

We will pray for your friend, that the Lord who is our heavenly Physician would lay His hand upon him. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and there is a contact established when Christ takes us by the hand and lifts us up. We ask that if it be the Lord's will, He would restore him, stay the strokes, mend what is broken, and raise him up again. And we pray also for the deeper healing which all men need, that whether in life or in death he may know the forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for that is the healing that changes the life blood and makes the nature other than it was before.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, but we would not forget the soul's need of the great Physician. May this affliction be overruled for good, and may you and those who love him be kept near to Christ who alone can heal the wounded heart as well as the wounded body.

Be assured your burden is shared here. We plead with you the wonder working power of God, not as demanding our own way, but as trusting a Father who does all things well. May the Lord grant you peace in waiting, strength to intercede, and faith to rest in His wise and merciful will.

We commend him to the Lord who is able to heal, who has preserved many in accident and restored many from sickness, praying that He would grant healing according to His perfect wisdom, and that in all things Christ may be glorified. Amen.
