Prayer for sleep

We join with you in prayer for relief from this pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep, and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we find healing and rest.
We know how wearying pain can be, especially when it steals sleep, and how the lack of sleep can make pain feel even heavier. God sees your affliction and He cares deeply for your body and your rest. His Word reminds us that sleep is a gift from His hand, Psalm 127:2 says he gives sleep to his loved ones, and Psalm 4:8 says I will both lay myself down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. Jesus also invites us in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.
We also remember that God is our healer who binds up our wounds, Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and we are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. That peace is what we ask for over your mind and body as you lie down at night.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the pain they are carrying and how it disturbs their sleep. We ask for Your healing touch upon their body, to ease their pain according to Your will, and to grant them relief that only You can give. Lord, quiet their thoughts, calm their heart, and cover them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that You grant them peaceful, deep and restorative sleep tonight and in the nights to come, that they may awake refreshed and strengthened. Help them to cast every care upon You, trusting that You neither slumber nor sleep as You watch over them, and that You are near to all who call upon You. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our Savior and our rest, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring this need before the Lord each night, perhaps with quiet prayer and thanksgiving before you sleep, and to rest in His promises. If the pain continues, we encourage you also to seek wise medical counsel, for God often works through the skill He has given to others. May the Lord comfort you and restore your strength as you trust in Him.

Sleep is the gift of God, for so He giveth His beloved sleep. It is not merely that we lie down and compose ourselves, but the Lord Himself must grant it. When pain keeps the body weary and the night seems long, we remember that He who watches over His people neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He is near to those who suffer.
We pray that our gracious Father, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed, will lay His hand upon you in compassion, ease your pain, and grant you quiet and restorative rest. May He give you the sleep of contentment and of security, knowing that you are kept in His care, and may you awake refreshed and strengthened for the duties and mercies of a new day.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
