We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this earnest plea for relief from pain and the gift of peaceful, restorative sleep. Father, we know that You neither slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:4), and in Your infinite mercy, You hear the cries of Your children. We stand in the gap for this dear one, asking that You would stretch forth Your healing hand to ease their suffering. Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise now in the mighty name of Jesus.
Lord, we also ask that You would quiet their mind and body, granting them the deep, restful sleep that only You can provide. You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2), and we trust that this is a season where Your peace will guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). May they wake refreshed, strengthened, and reminded of Your faithfulness.
We rebuke any spirit of restlessness, anxiety, or pain that seeks to steal their peace, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let Your presence be a soothing balm over them as they lie down, and may they find comfort in the knowledge that You are their Shepherd, and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1-2).
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. Amen.
