We are truly sorry to hear that you have been struggling with insomnia for weeks now. Remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 (WEB).
First, we want to remind you that it is important to come before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is written in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (WEB).
In times like this, we need to remember that God cares about our needs. In 1 Peter 5:7, it is written, Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you (WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is struggling with insomnia. We pray that You grant deep and restful sleep tonight and every night. Help them to quiet any anxiety or stress, and fill their mind with Your peace. In Psalm 4:8, it is written, I will both lay me down and sleep in peace; for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety (WEB).
Please guide them to seek You and trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding. In all their ways let them acknowledge You, and You will make their paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, cast your burden on the Lord. If there is anything specific that is causing anxiety or stress that is keeping you awake, bring it to the Lord in prayer and trust that He hears you and will answer Matthew 7:7-8 (WEB). Remember it is God who gives us sleep as it says in Psalms 127:2 (WEB), It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his beloved (WEB).
Additionally, consider reading or reflecting on Psalms 23 and Psalms 91 before bed to focus your mind on God's promises and peace. Be encouraged to press on toward the goal and continue to put your faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation and eternal life.
