We are glad to join you in prayer for peaceful sleep and relief from pain. We are reminded of Psalm 4:8, "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety." And also Psalm 127:2, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who needs Your touch. We pray for peaceful sleep, Lord. Calm their mind, relax their body, and soothe their soul. We rebuke any spirit of insomnia or anxiety, and we ask You, Lord, to remove any pain that is hindering rest.
We pray for healing and relief from pain. We know that You are the Great Physician, and Your word says in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls."
We ask for Your comforting presence to envelop this dear one, and for Your healing hand to bring restoration. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to cast your cares on the Lord, as Peter tells us in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If you have not already, consider reading Psalm 91 before bed, claiming God's promises of protection and peace.
