We join with you in lifting this burden before the Lord, trusting in His sovereignty over every detail of your life—including this financial struggle. The Scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* You have done well to bring this matter before Jesus, for He alone holds authority over the hearts of those in positions of influence, including this treasury officer.
Yet we must also remember Proverbs 16:3, which instructs us to *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Have you sought wisdom in how to approach this situation with integrity? Sometimes the Lord calls us to act with humility, patience, or even to seek counsel on how to navigate bureaucratic challenges. If there has been any oversight on your part—whether in documentation, communication, or attitude—ask the Lord to reveal it, that you might correct it in His strength. If, however, this delay is unjust, take heart in Exodus 22:22-23, where God warns against afflicting the vulnerable: *"You shall not take advantage of any widow or fatherless child. If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry..."* The Lord sees your need and will not ignore the cry of His child.
We also encourage you to examine your heart in this trial. Are you trusting in the Lord’s provision, or has anxiety begun to rule? Jesus teaches in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your salary and medical reimbursement are not outside His care, but He may be using this delay to draw you closer to Him, refining your faith.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your servant who is weary from this financial battle. You are Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides, and nothing escapes Your notice. We ask that You soften the heart of this treasury officer, removing any obstruction—whether spiritual, bureaucratic, or personal—that stands in the way of this bill being approved. If there has been any error or sin on our brother’s/sister’s part, reveal it clearly and grant them the grace to rectify it. But if this delay is unjust, we plead for Your intervention, that justice would prevail and this need would be met swiftly.
Lord, we also ask that You guard their heart against bitterness, fear, or distrust. Remind them that their worth is not found in a paycheck but in Christ, who became poor that they might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9). Provide for them in unexpected ways if this delay continues, and let this trial serve to deepen their reliance on You.
We rebuke any spiritual opposition in this matter—whether from the enemy’s schemes or the hardness of human hearts—and declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Move mightily, Lord, that Your name would be glorified in this situation. We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Advocate and Provider. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, dear one. The Lord is not unaware of your struggle, and He will act in His perfect timing. Keep seeking Him first, and trust that He will either move this mountain or give you the strength to climb it. If the delay persists, consider whether there are godly authorities (a pastor, a mentor, or even a higher office) who might intercede wisely on your behalf. But above all, cling to Christ, for He is your true security.
