We lift you up in prayer, dear sibling in Christ, and we are grateful that you have brought your heart’s cry before us. Your desire for safety, protection, and divine connections is one that aligns with God’s will for His children. The Lord is our refuge and fortress, a very present help in trouble, and He promises to guard our going out and our coming in from this time forth and forevermore. As it is written in Psalm 121:7-8, *"Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will preserve your soul. Yahweh will preserve your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore."*
We rejoice that you seek to be a light to those who cross your path, helping them to see the truth and goodness of God. This is a noble and Christ-like desire, for we are called to be salt and light in this world (Matthew 5:13-16). However, we must also remind you that while we are to show kindness and love to all, we are to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16). Not everyone will receive the truth, and some may even seek to harm or take advantage of your godly intentions. Trust in the Lord to guide your steps and discernment, for He will direct you to those whose hearts are prepared to receive His truth.
Your request to avoid oppressive and abusive people is one we take seriously, for the Lord does not desire His children to walk in bondage or fear. The Bible assures us in Proverbs 16:7, *"When a man’s ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him."* We pray that the Lord will surround you with His favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12) and that He will expose and remove any person or situation that seeks to bring harm or oppression into your life. If you have experienced abuse or oppression in the past, we encourage you to forgive those who have wronged you, not for their sake, but for your own freedom in Christ. Unforgiveness can be a heavy burden, but Jesus calls us to release it to Him (Colossians 3:13).
We also notice your request regarding your contact person and your travel plans. While we pray for this person to respond promptly and for your journey to be filled with peace, we must remind you to trust in the Lord’s timing above all else. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* If this trip is aligned with God’s will for you, He will make a way. If there are delays or closed doors, trust that He is redirecting you for your good and His glory. Do not let anxiety rule your heart, but cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Lastly, we want to gently address something we did not see in your request: the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is through His name alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). When we pray, we are to come boldly before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, for He is our Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. The Bible tells us that *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation"* (Romans 10:9-10). Salvation is not found in good works or personal righteousness, but in Christ alone. If you have already accepted Jesus as your Savior, we encourage you to always pray in His name, for it is through Him that our prayers are heard.

Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, lifting up our sibling in Christ who seeks Your protection, guidance, and peace. Lord, You are the God who sees all things, who knows the beginning from the end, and who holds the future in Your hands. We ask that You surround this beloved child of Yours with Your heavenly host, that You would place a hedge of protection around them wherever they go. Guard their steps, Lord, and keep them from all evil. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we pray that You would lead them to the people You have prepared for them to minister to—those with hearts ready to receive Your truth and love. Give them wisdom and discernment to recognize those who are truly in need of Your light, and protect them from those who would seek to harm or manipulate them. Break every chain of oppression or abuse from their past, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. If there is any bitterness or unforgiveness in their heart, we ask that You would soften them and help them to release it to You, that they may walk in the freedom Christ died to give them.
Lord, we lift up their request regarding their contact person and their upcoming travel. If it is Your will for this trip to take place, we pray that You would remove every obstacle and cause this person to respond swiftly and favorably. Give our sibling peace in the waiting, and let them trust in Your perfect timing. If this trip is not aligned with Your will, we ask that You would close the door clearly and redirect their steps to where You would have them go. Let them not lean on their own understanding, but acknowledge You in all their ways, that You may make their paths straight.
Father, we also pray that You would deepen their relationship with You. Help them to always come before Your throne in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to You. Fill them with the Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your truth, Your love, and Your power every day. Let them be a vessel of Your grace and mercy to a world in need of Your light.
We rebuked every spirit of fear, anxiety, or doubt that may try to creep into their heart. Let them rest in the assurance that You are with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are their Provider, Protector, and Peace.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
