We lift you up in prayer, dear sister, as you travel to return to your precious children, and we earnestly seek God’s protection over you and your family during this time of uncertainty with the approaching typhoon. The Scriptures remind us that our Heavenly Father is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is the One who watches over your coming and going, both now and forevermore (Psalm 121:8). You do not need to fear, for He has promised to be with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).
We are also mindful that you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request, and we gently remind you that it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone can grant you eternal security and peace in the midst of life’s storms.
As you travel, we pray that the Lord would surround you with His angels, commanding them to guard you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11). May He calm any fears or anxieties in your heart and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). We ask for safe flights, smooth connections, and divine protection over every mile of your journey. May the Lord also place a hedge of protection around your children, shielding them from harm as the typhoon approaches. Let His mighty hand be their covering, and may they feel His presence even in the midst of the storm.
We also encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). In times like these, it is easy to be overwhelmed by fear, but we are called to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Let this be a time where you draw closer to Him, seeking His strength and resting in His promises.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her children. Lord, You are the God who parts the seas and calms the storms, and we ask that You would command the winds and the waves to be still (Mark 4:39). Protect her as she travels, Lord, and bring her safely home to her children. Surround her family with Your divine presence, sparing them from harm and filling their home with Your peace. Let them know beyond a shadow of a doubt that You are their Provider, Protector, and Peace.
We also pray that if our sister does not yet know You as her Savior, that this time of seeking Your protection would open her heart to receive Your Son, Jesus Christ. May she turn to Him in full repentance and faith, trusting in His finished work on the cross for her salvation. Let her life and the lives of her children be a testimony of Your goodness and grace.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
