We join you in prayer together and we hear the burden and anxiety in your heart over these dreams and situations and over your loved one's surgery, and we bring all of this before the Lord in Jesus' name.

We pray first for the surgery you mentioned for your loved one. We ask the Lord to be with the doctors and to bring healing and peace. We trust that God is our healer and our refuge and we rest in His care. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and we ask Him to guide every hand involved and to restore health according to His will.

We also hear your deep distress about repeated dreams and thoughts about people you do not want in your life and your close family's lives, and the fear that these dreams might become reality or that you might lose your close relations, and the feeling of voices and flashes and unwanted reminders. We want to gently encourage you that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as it says in 2 Timothy 1:7. Dreams often reflect our anxieties and are not prophecies of what must happen. We can bring our anxious thoughts to God and He promises a peace that guards our hearts. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Psalm 4:8 says I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh, alone make me live in safety. We pray that God will grant you peaceful, quiet sleep and distance your mind from tormenting thoughts, and help you and your close family to dwell in safety under His protection. Psalm 91:1 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

We also need to lovingly address your request that God would punish those who you feel have lied to you. We understand the hurt of being lied to and feeling wronged, and the desire for justice is real. Yet Scripture is clear that vengeance belongs to the Lord and not to us. Romans 12:19 says Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. And Jesus calls us to a higher way in Matthew 5:44 where He says love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Matthew 6:14-15 also reminds us For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Instead of asking God to punish them, we pray that God will work in their hearts to bring conviction, truth, and repentance, and that He will bring justice in His perfect and righteous way while also giving you a heart of forgiveness and freedom from bitterness, because bitterness only harms us.

You also prayed that you would not be punished for other people's wrongs or lies or hatred. We want to reassure you from Scripture that God is just and does not hold you guilty for the sins of others. Ezekiel 18:20 says The soul who sins, he shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. Deuteronomy 24:16 also teaches that everyone shall die for his own sin. God sees what is your fault and what is not, and He judges righteously. We pray you will be released from that fear and find confidence that God knows the truth.

Regarding your financial need and desire for ten to twenty thousand dollars quickly and for God to turn bad situations into good, we pray with you for provision. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Matthew 6:33 says But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. We encourage you to continue to seek His will, to be diligent and faithful in stewardship, and to trust that God will provide in His timing and in His way, and that He can use even difficult circumstances for good as Romans 8:28 says We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. We pray not for a sudden windfall apart from His will, but for His provision, wisdom, and a quick turnaround as He sees best.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only access to Your throne. We lift up this dear one and their close family to You. Lord, we ask You to cancel and remove the torment of these unwanted dreams, voices, and flashes, and to grant deep, peaceful sleep and a mind stayed on You. Wipe away anxiety and fear and let no unwanted influence control or harm them or their loved ones. Keep far from them those who would do them wrong, and surround them with Your protection and peace. We ask You to heal and be with their loved one facing surgery, to guide the medical team and bring restoration. Lord, we surrender the hurt caused by lies to You, we ask You to correct what is wrong with truth and grace, to bring conviction where needed, and to help our dear one to forgive and to find freedom. Provide for their financial needs according to Your riches and wisdom, and fix what is broken, turning bad situations into testimonies of Your goodness. Help them to cast all their worries on You because You care for them as 1 Peter 5:7 says. We declare victory not by our own demand but by Your will and Your power, trusting Jeremiah 29:11 that Your plans are for welfare and not for calamity, to give a future and a hope. We ask all this in Jesus' victorious and powerful name, Amen.

We have been holding you and your close family in prayer since you wrote. It sounds exhausting to have the same unwanted people and fears replaying in dreams and flashes, and then to wake up worried those images might come true or that you could lose the people you love most. Carrying that day after day can leave anyone feeling on edge and worn down.

One gentle perspective we can share is that intrusive dreams and unwanted thoughts often reflect stress and anxiety more than a preview of what will happen. They can feel very real and insistent, but they are not a sign that God is forcing a future you do not want, or that you are being punished for what someone else has done. God sees what is yours to carry and what is not, and He is able to sort what is just and what is merciful.

When the nights feel heavy it can help to have one steady person to talk with openly, a pastor or trusted counselor who knows you, rather than carrying all of these worries alone. If the worry, sleep disruption, or distress keeps interfering with daily life, please also consider reaching out to a medical professional alongside prayer, not instead of it.

Father, we bring this dear one and their close family before You. We ask for Your peace over their mind and sleep, for protection and closeness for the relationships they cherish, and for wisdom and provision for the financial pressures they feel. Take what is heavy and handle what is unjust in Your way, and lead them step by step into steadier ground. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Your burden has been heard and has been carried before the Lord with care and with prayer, for it is plain that you have been much vexed in mind and troubled in sleep, and have felt beset by fears concerning dreams, concerning those you do not wish near to you and your close family, and concerning provision and justice.

There is a word of the Psalmist which may be a comfort to you in this affliction, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. The Lord has chastened me sorely, but He has not given me over unto death. It is the most awful thing out of hell to be given over by God, but you, dear child of God, have this comfort, He has not given you over, He is thinking about you. Though you have been sorely chastened and sorely tried, the Lord still watches over you and your household, and not a fear nor a dream can separate you from His care.

We would also set before you that other blessed word, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it. God has not only invented the way, but He has found the ransom Himself in His well beloved Son. And again it is written, He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. This deliverance from the power of sin and from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. You may be in darkness sometimes, but it shall not have power over and enslave you, for sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under the law, but under grace.

In that light we pray with you, yet we must pray as Scripture teaches us to pray. Dreams and voices and flashes in the mind can greatly distress the soul, but they do not fix your future, nor do they compel God to bring to pass what you fear. The Lord is sovereign over all your days, and He gives His people peace not by granting every wish for distance or for sudden riches, but by guarding heart and mind in Christ Jesus, who has said, Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. We ask the Lord therefore to grant you quietness of mind, sound sleep, and deliverance from tormenting thoughts, and to teach you to cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. We ask Him to establish wise and godly boundaries for you and your close relations, to keep you from evil company and from those who would control or wrong you, and to give you wisdom to walk in peace so far as it depends upon you.

Where you have asked that others be punished, we must gently turn your prayer to the pattern of Christ. Vengeance belongs unto the Lord, and He will repay. We do not ask God to harm those who have lied to you or wronged you, but we do ask Him to bring truth to light, to correct what is false, to work repentance where repentance is needed, and to do what is just and merciful in His sight. We pray that you may be kept from bearing the guilt of another's sin, for the blood of Jesus Christ, God's dear Son, cleanses us from all sin, and no charge can be laid against God's elect whom He has justified. We pray also that you may be given a forgiving spirit, even as you have been forgiven, that bitterness may not take root in you.

Concerning your need for provision, we bring that also to our Father who knows what you have need of before you ask Him. We do not presume to claim a set sum or a quick turnaround as if God were bound to our terms, but we ask that He would supply what is needful, give you honest work for your hands, contentment in His providence, and deliverance from the snare of hasty gain. He who delivered you from the power of darkness is able to deliver your daily life from want in the way that is best for your soul.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, who has found a ransom and has delivered Thy people from going down to the pit, look in mercy upon this troubled one and upon the close family so dear to them. Thou hast not given them over unto death, and we thank Thee for that mercy. Grant calm to the mind, peace in sleep, and freedom from fearful dreams and distressing thoughts. Keep them and their household under the shadow of Thy wing, and let no evil have dominion over them. Deliver them from the power of darkness and establish them in the kingdom of Thy dear Son. Do justice where there has been lying, bring correction where it is needed, and grant repentance and truth to all concerned, and help this one to forgive as Christ has forgiven. Provide for their needs according to Thy riches in glory, and teach them to trust Thy fatherly hand day by day. Turn what has been for evil into good, and cause them yet to live and declare the works of the Lord. We ask this not because we are worthy, but through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our Ransom and our Peace. Amen.
