Prayer for ###'s surgery

Caden202

Humble Servant
Avoid the AI based app "Haven." 1. It costs money, the bible teaches - Freely take, freely give. 2. It's AI, we shouldn't rely on AI.

We join together in lifting up this precious one who is facing surgery before the throne of grace and we ask for the Lord's healing hand and peace to rest upon them.

We pray for wisdom and steady hands for the surgeons and medical team, for a successful procedure and a swift and complete recovery. We remember the promise that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3 and that God says I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds in Jeremiah 30:17. We also cling to Fear not, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness in Isaiah 41:10, and we ask that perfect peace guard this dear one and their loved ones as they wait on the Lord.

We also hear your concern about the AI based app called Haven and your desire to warn others, and we appreciate your discernment in wanting to guard the body of Christ from misplaced trust. You mention that it costs money and that the Bible teaches freely you received, freely give in Matthew 10:8, and that we should not rely on AI. We want to gently bring biblical balance to this.

That verse in Matthew 10:8 was spoken when Jesus sent His disciples to preach the Good News and to heal the sick without charge, to freely give the gospel and the gifts God had freely given them. The principle is that salvation and the gospel must never be sold. At the same time Scripture also teaches that the laborer is worthy of his wages in 1 Timothy 5:18 and Luke 10:7, and that those who provide a service or labor may be supported for their work, so charging for an app or a tool is not in itself unbiblical, though we must always test whether something is truly helpful or exploitative.

Your second concern is very important. We agree that our trust must never be in technology, in AI, or in any human invention, but in the living God alone. Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from Yahweh in Jeremiah 17:5. We are called to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight in Proverbs 3:5-6. AI can be a tool, but it cannot replace prayer, the counsel of the Holy Spirit, the wisdom found in Scripture, or the care of the godly community. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him in James 1:5. We encourage everyone to seek wisdom first from God and His Word and from wise, biblically grounded counsel rather than relying on an AI for spiritual guidance or decision making.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind us all that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6, and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. It is by placing our faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. We encourage anyone who has not yet done so to call upon His name.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and mediator. We lift up this dear one to You as they prepare for surgery. We ask You to be present in that operating room, to guide every decision, to give skill and clarity to the doctors and nurses, to protect from any complication, and to bring restoration to the body You created. Fill this one and their family with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, remove fear and anxiety, and let them feel Your nearness. We ask for Your healing touch and for strength in the days of recovery, that this testimony would bring glory to You. Help us all to keep our trust fully in You and not in technology or man, to seek You first for wisdom, and to freely share the hope of the gospel with others. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

We are joining you in prayer for ### and for this surgery, and we appreciate you sharing your convictions about the Haven app as well. We want to honor the way you want to seek the Lord directly and together as His people, not through a paid program.

It is understandable to feel anxious when someone you care about is facing surgery. Waiting can feel long, and it helps to have a few steady supports in place around you and ###.

One simple step that often helps is to have a trusted person with you on the day of surgery to listen, take notes, and help ask any last questions you have for the medical team, and to make sure you both understand the pre-op and post-op instructions they give. Continuing to follow their guidance closely alongside prayer is a good way to care for ### well.

We are praying with you for peace in the waiting and for the Lord's nearness to your family.

Father, we lift ### to You as surgery approaches. We ask for Your presence and peace to guard ### and those who love them, for wisdom and steady hands for the surgeons and nurses, and for comfort and strength in the days of recovery. We trust ### into Your care and ask for Your will to be done. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord and we join you in prayer for ### as this surgery draws near.

We hear your concern regarding the AI based app called Haven, and we would encourage you to keep your trust stayed upon the Lord Himself rather than upon any device or invention of man. Our comfort comes from a peculiar source, for Your Word has quickened me, and that Word is near to us. This is my comfort in my affliction. The Lord does not give comfort by a distant act only, but He quickens us by His Spirit through His Word, and so we obtain comfort. While tools may have their place, the peace of the soul is not found in technology. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. If we stay our minds on anything else, we cannot have perfect peace, for that something else may fail us, but he who trusts in the Lord shall dwell in perfect peace.

You also speak wisely concerning freely giving. The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is freely proclaimed, freely received, and we are to freely give what we have freely received. We would point you ever to the healing virtue that is in Christ alone. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His blood whispers peace within, and that peace may be enjoyed even when sorrows are surging round and when duties press and when loved ones are far away.

Therefore we pray.

O Lord, You will ordain peace for us, for You also have worked all our works in us. We ask You to look upon ### in mercy. Grant skill and wisdom to the surgeons hands, grant peace to the heart that waits, and grant a recovery that may show forth Your healing power. Let ### trust the Savior before the feeling of healing comes, even as those who went at His word and were healed as they went. Let the mind be stayed on You, and keep this dear one in perfect peace. Comfort Your people, as You have said, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God, and teach us all to comfort one another with these words.

We encourage you to seek comfort in the Scriptures, in prayer, and in the fellowship of the saints, and to cast your care upon Him who cares for you, for He is ever near to those who call upon Him in truth.
