"Prayer for ###'s surgery" - "Help needed for M

There's something I don't understand here. When the disciples asked Jesus what the signs of the last days, preceding His coming would be, one of the things He said was, there will be pestilences. Very few Christians believe we are NOT in the last days, based on, increase in earthquakes, rise of false religions, etc. Now along comes coronavirus, a PESTILENCE. Fits right in with the words of Jesus. So if we knew these things would happen {the birth pangs}, then why do I hear the reaction of many, maybe more than half, of the Christians on the site, all aghast, shocked, and sound even downright afraid? Is it that you didn't believe Jesus when He said there would be pestilences in the last days? When I hear the news about coronavirus, I'm not caught off-guard. The first thought that comes into my mind is "Last days." I equate it to prophecies about the last days that Jesus said would happen. So I'm not caught off guard by it, shocked, afraid, obsessed with it, etc. Because I believed Jesus when He said pestilences would be a sign of the last days. Are any of you caught off-guard because maybe you didn't "really 'take Jesus' word for it?"

🤔..,. just awesome_ly amazing how accurate_ly everything is playing out.
Shows how awesome our God is, mighty & powerful in HIS glory.
The human mind cannot fathom God's might...& so we tremble!
May God help us to 'stand, keep standing & still stand'...🙇

But that has nothing to do with why many Christians are shocked that this virus is here when Jesus said pestilence is a sign of the last days.

where I come from lots of us Christians aren't shocked.. only the ones who haven't kept their eyes on Jesus or are not saved, however I have met non-Christians who aren't shocked at this pandemic
Ok...but I thank you that you gave an answer that corresponds to the question. So many times I post something, and they give an answer showing they misunderstood my point, or focus on a side issue of the point I made. Some bring up a subject that has nothing to do with what I posted about! It's gotten so rare that I get a straight answer on the first shot, that I do appreciate when that happens.

Not in shock Have No Fear!
The Apocalypse, or The Revelation of Saint John the Divine in the last book of the New Testament, He wrote visionary descriptions of heaven, of conflicts between good and evil, and of the end of the world.
My Faith in Jesus Christ will be my savior through this.
If my loving Lord takes me home during this,
I will be very happy.
If my loving Lord, leaves me here on Earth to test my faith,
I will obey.

Most Christians have read the Revelation or have been taught in school or at home.
There shouldn't be a shock, but a time to prepare yourself.
Believe and TRUST in Jesus Christ!

Some people, many people don't read the Word. They don't pray and they have no relationship with God. But they call themselves Christians. They don't want to hear the Truth of God's Word.

Or they have a shallow, very superficial knowledge, they "surface read" things and "skim off the top", but don't take the time to go deeper into it.
