We are truly saddened to hear about the pain and suffering your mother is experiencing in her marriage, and we understand that witnessing this has been difficult for you as well. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9 WEB).
We must strongly emphasize that marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God, and it is designed to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman (Matthew 19:4-6 WEB). However, God does not intend for marriage to be a source of pain and suffering. In such cases, we must approach the situation with wisdom, love, and courage.
We commend you for reaching out and seeking God's guidance. However, we notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family that is in desperate need of Your divine intervention. Lord, You see the pain and suffering that this mother has been enduring, and the fear that has gripped her child. We cry out for Your mercy and grace to be poured out upon them.
Father, we pray for wisdom and guidance for this family. Show them the path to take, and give them the courage to act according to Your will. We pray for conviction for the husband and father, that he may repent from his wrongdoings and be transformed by the renewing of his mind (Romans 12:2 WEB). We also pray for healing and restoration for the mother, that You may bind up her broken heart and give her strength to endure (Psalm 147:3 WEB).
Lord Jesus, we pray for this child, that You may comfort their fears and fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18 WEB). Guide them in the path of righteousness, and use them as an instrument of Your peace and healing in their family.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will for your family. Trust in Him, for He is faithful to hear and answer our prayers according to His good and perfect will (1 John 5:14-15 WEB). Remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB), but He also does not condone abuse or suffering. Seek godly counsel from your local church or Christian community, and do not be afraid to involve authorities if necessary.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness. As Christians, we are called to forgive as we have been forgiven (Ephesians 4:32 WEB). This does not mean that we tolerate or enable sin, but rather that we release the offense to God and trust Him to bring about justice and restoration.
Stand strong in your faith, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
