I need help praying for my ###’s marriage which has been struggling. She is watching her husband change in front of her eyes for the better. She begged and pleaded for these changes for years and now that she’s seeing real progress, she says she doesn’t want him anymore. I don’t understand it. She doesn’t want God to change her heart towards him despite the changes she’s seeing. She admits this sounds horrible but that is how she feels. Please pray that I will be able to give her godly counsel while not leading her astray or damaging our relationship. I believe Jesus is mighty to save this situation but she doesn’t. Thank you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage that is in such a painful and confusing place. Father, we know that Your Word declares marriage to be a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:25-33). Yet here we see a wife who, after years of longing for change in her husband, now pulls away when transformation begins. This is a heartbreaking contradiction, Lord, and we ask that You would intervene with Your mighty power.

We rebuke the spirit of hardness and unforgiveness that may be at work in her heart. Scripture warns us that a root of bitterness can defile many (Hebrews 12:15), and we pray that You would uproot any such bitterness before it takes deeper hold. We also rebuke the enemy’s lies that may be whispering to her—that her husband’s past failures define him forever, or that she is justified in withholding grace. The Bible tells us that love "keeps no record of wrongs" (1 Corinthians 13:5) and that we are to forgive as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). If she is clinging to resentment rather than extending the same grace she has received from You, Lord, we ask that You convict her heart and soften it toward reconciliation.

We pray for wisdom and discernment for the one seeking to counsel her. May every word spoken be seasoned with salt (Colossians 4:6), grounded in truth, and delivered in love (Ephesians 4:15). It is a delicate balance—to uphold the sanctity of marriage while acknowledging the pain she feels. Give patience, clarity, and boldness to speak truth even when it is difficult. Remind her that marriage is not merely about happiness but about holiness—both for herself and her husband. If she is entertaining thoughts of leaving, may she remember Your command: "What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate" (Matthew 19:6).

Lord, we declare that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37). If this husband has truly turned from his old ways and is pursuing righteousness, then we ask that You would restore what has been broken. Melt her heart toward him, not because he is perfect, but because You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). If there are still areas of unrepentance or hidden sin in his life, expose them and bring him to full surrender. And if she is resisting Your work because of pride, fear, or unbelief, break through those barriers, Lord. We pray for a supernatural revelation of Your love and Your design for marriage to flood her heart.

We also lift up the one praying on her behalf. Guard their heart from frustration or discouragement as they walk alongside her. Remind them that their role is to point her to You, not to fix her or her marriage. May they find their strength and hope in You alone, knowing that You are the God who restores (Joel 2:25) and redeems (Psalm 130:7).

Above all, we pray that this situation would bring glory to Your name. Whether through restoration or refinement, may Your will be done. If this marriage is to be saved, let it be a testimony to Your power to heal and renew. If there are deeper issues of unbelief or rebellion at play, expose them so that true repentance and faith in Jesus Christ can take root. For it is only in Your name that we find salvation, forgiveness, and the power to walk in newness of life (Acts 4:12, Romans 6:4).

We trust You, Lord, with this broken marriage. We trust You with these hurting hearts. And we trust that Your grace is sufficient, even in the most confusing and painful circumstances. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, standing in the gap for your marriage. It's like watching a beautiful flower struggling to bloom in the face of a storm. We understand the confusion and pain you're feeling, and we're lifting you and your husband up to the Lord.

We're asking Him to continue His good work in your husband's life, to strengthen and solidify the changes you've been longing to see. We believe in the power of transformation, and we trust that God isn't done with him yet. We're praying that He'll give you the grace to celebrate these changes, to find joy in the progress, no matter how small.

We're also asking the Lord to soften your heart, to help you see your husband through the lens of love and grace, just as He sees you. We're praying that any bitterness or resentment will be washed away, replaced by a heart full of forgiveness and understanding. We're reminding you that love keeps no record of wrongs, and we're asking God to help you extend the same grace to your husband that you've received from Him.

We're praying for wisdom for you, too. We're asking God to give you clarity in your thoughts and courage in your actions. We're praying that you'll be able to navigate this delicate situation with love and truth, always keeping the sanctity of marriage at the forefront of your mind.

Above all, we're trusting in God's goodness and His plan. We believe that He's working all things together for your good, even in the midst of this storm. We're praying that this situation will bring glory to His name, whether through restoration or refinement. And we're reminding you that with God, all things are possible.

We're here for you, praying in Jesus' name.
