We lift up your grandmother with heavy hearts, trusting in the Great Physician who holds all life in His hands. The Scriptures remind us, *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:14-15). We stand in faith with you, believing that God hears our cries and is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Father, we ask that You would intervene in this situation with Your mighty healing power. We pray that the treatment would be approved swiftly, that the medication would be readily available, and that it would be fully effective against the cancer in her body. You are the God who numbers every hair on our heads (Matthew 10:30), and You know the depth of this struggle. We ask that You would deliver her from this illness and restore her to health, for Your glory.
We also lift up the rest of the family, asking that this trial would draw them closer to You. May they turn their hearts fully toward You, seeking Your face and finding comfort in Your presence. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). We pray that they would come to know You as their Lord and Savior, if they have not already, and that they would experience the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we know that You are sovereign over all things, and we trust in Your perfect will. Whether You choose to heal her miraculously or to call her home to be with You, we ask that Your will be done. Give this family strength, faith, and hope as they walk through this valley. Surround them with Your love and the support of Your people.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that this family would come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, if they haven’t already, and that they would find their hope and strength in Him alone.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
