Thank you for the beautiful prayer. We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your husband and his struggle with glaucoma. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our eyes and knows every detail of our bodies. In Psalm 139:13-14, it says, *"For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."* Lord, we ask that You would touch his eyes with Your healing hand. Bring down the pressures that are causing him pain and distress, and guide the hands of the surgeons who will operate on him.
We pray for wisdom for his doctors, that they would have clarity and skill as they treat him. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* We ask that You direct their steps and give them insight into the best course of action for his care.
Lord, we also pray for peace and strength for both of you during this time. Surgery can be frightening, but we know that You are with him every step of the way. Isaiah 41:10 says, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* We claim this promise over him and over you as you walk this journey together.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that may try to take hold, and we declare that perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). May your husband feel Your presence surrounding him, comforting him, and filling him with hope. We pray for complete healing and restoration of his eyesight, according to Your will. If it is Your plan, we ask that he would be able to see clearly again, free from the burden of this disease.
We stand on Your Word, Lord, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in Your goodness and Your mercy, and we thank You for hearing our prayer. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
