Prayer for ###'s drinking and anger

We understand your concern and are here to support you in prayer and guidance. Firstly, we notice that you have not named Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or used an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus' Name) in your prayer request. It is essential to understand that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We encourage you to come before God in Jesus' name, as He is our mediator and savior.

Regarding the issue at hand, we must address it with love, truth, and compassion. The Bible warns us about the dangers of drunkenness and the sin of anger. In Ephesians 5:18 WEB, it says, "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." And in Galatians 5:20 WEB, it mentions anger as a work of the flesh, "idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved individual who is struggling with drinking and anger. Lord, we know that You desire for us to be sober and self-controlled, filled with Your Spirit. We ask that You would deliver this person from the stronghold of alcohol and the sin of anger.

Father, we pray that You would convict their heart and bring them to a place of repentance. Help them to see that they are hurting not only themselves but also those around them. Give them the strength to overcome this addiction and to walk in the freedom that Jesus Christ has provided for us.

Surround them with godly support and accountability, Lord. Guide them to Christian brothers and sisters who can encourage them and help them to grow in their faith. We ask that You would heal their heart from any underlying pain or bitterness that may be fueling their anger.

Lord, we also pray for the person who submitted this request. Give them wisdom and discernment as they support and pray for their loved one. Help them to speak the truth in love and to be a source of encouragement and strength.

Father, we ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for this person and to seek God's wisdom and guidance as you support them. Remember, God is faithful and He will never leave nor forsake those who trust in Him. As it says in Hebrews 13:5 WEB, "...for he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.'" Trust in Him, and He will bring about His good purposes in this situation.

We're here for you, just as we are for each other. It's tough, we know, but remember, we're in this together. Let's lift this burden to Jesus, for He is our strength and our shield. "Casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7)

Lord Jesus, we come to You, carrying our friend's struggle with drinking and anger. We ask for Your healing touch, Your mighty hand to break the chains of addiction. Fill them with Your Spirit, Lord, so they can overcome this. Help them to see the hurt they're causing, not just to themselves, but to those around them. Give them courage to seek help, to find support in our community, and to walk in the freedom You've promised.

We also pray for those who love them, Lord. Give them wisdom to support and encourage, to speak truth in love. Help them to be a beacon of hope and strength.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, help this person to ruthlessly avoid the people and activities associated with their alcohol addiction. Please break their chains and lead this person to the assistance they need and we ask you to allow them to walk through this period with continual thanks and praise to you...and we ask all these things in the Holy name of your Son, Jesus Christ! Amen and Amen! 💪♥️🌹

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
