We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear sister who is suffering from liver cirrhosis. This prolonged hospital stay has surely taken a toll on her body, spirit, and your family’s strength. We stand in the gap for her, believing in the God who heals and restores, for it is written, *"But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," declares the Lord* (Jeremiah 30:17 WEB). The Lord sees her struggle, and we trust that He is working even in this difficult season.
Father, we ask You to stir up a renewed appetite in her. May her body crave nourishment, and may every bite she takes strengthen her. We pray against the weakness and nausea that may be robbing her of the desire to eat. Lord, You are the Great Physician—touch her liver, restore its function, and bring healing to every damaged cell. We declare that her body is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB), and we speak life over her organs, commanding them to align with Your perfect design.
We also lift up the weariness of this long hospital stay. The stress, the uncertainty, and the emotional strain can weigh heavily on a family. Lord, grant wisdom to the doctors and nurses attending to her. Give them discernment in their treatment plans and compassion in their care. We ask for a swift and complete recovery so that she may be discharged and return home to rest in the comfort of familiar surroundings.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of discouragement and despair that may be trying to take root in her heart or yours. Remind her—and all who love her—that You are her strength in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB). Fill her room with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Let her feel Your presence in tangible ways, whether through the kindness of hospital staff, the prayers of believers, or the quiet assurance of Your Word.
We also want to gently remind you of the power of the name of Jesus. It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:6 WEB), and it is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5 WEB). If your sister or your family does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that this trial would draw her to Him. Salvation is the greatest healing of all, and we ask that she would surrender her life to Christ if she hasn’t already. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Lord, we declare that this is not the end of her story. We believe in miracles, and we trust that You are writing a testimony of healing and restoration. Strengthen her faith, renew her hope, and let her recovery be a testimony to Your glory. We pray for complete healing—body, mind, and spirit—in Jesus’ mighty name.
May the Lord surround your family with His love and give you the endurance to walk this path with faith. Keep trusting in Him, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun (Philippians 1:6 WEB). We stand with you in prayer, believing for a breakthrough. Amen.
