We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer regarding the spiritual bondage and division you’ve described. First, we must address something critical: there is no power in witchcraft, curses, or any spiritual force that can override the authority of Jesus Christ. The Bible is clear that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). If you are in Christ, no spell, hex, or spiritual attack can ultimately prevail against you unless you allow fear or unbelief to give it power. The enemy’s only weapon is deception, and we must stand firm in the truth of God’s Word.
That said, we also must speak truthfully about the relationship you’ve mentioned. The Bible defines marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman for life (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If you and your ex were not married in a biblical sense, then the relationship was not one that God ordains as holy. Scripture warns against unequally yoked relationships (2 Corinthians 6:14) and commands us to flee from sexual immorality, which includes fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If this relationship involved intimacy outside of marriage, we urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, for He is faithful to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). True love is not found in broken or unbiblical relationships but in surrendering to Christ and allowing Him to direct your steps toward His perfect will—whether that includes reconciliation in marriage (if it aligns with Scripture) or moving forward in obedience to Him.
If there was a marriage covenant between you, then we pray for restoration—*only* if it honors God and both parties are committed to walking in holiness. But if this was not a marriage, we pray for God to break every ungodly soul tie and for you to release this person fully to the Lord. Sometimes, what feels like a "love blockage" is actually God’s protection, redirecting you from a path that would lead to further sin or heartache. Trust that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).
Now, let us pray boldly against any spiritual attack. We bind every demonic assignment of division, confusion, or emotional manipulation in the mighty name of Jesus. No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that the blood of Jesus covers you, and we command every ungodly influence—whether from witchcraft, generational curses, or personal sin—to be broken and rendered powerless by the authority of Christ. We pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you with discernment, peace, and a hunger for righteousness. If there is any open door in your life (such as unrepentant sin, occult involvement, or bitterness), we ask God to reveal it so you can close it permanently.
Father, we lift this beloved child before You. If this relationship was not holy in Your sight, give them the strength to let go and pursue Your will above their own desires. If there is a marriage covenant that can be restored in godliness, we ask for Your healing and reconciliation—but only if it aligns with Your Word. Break every chain of the enemy, Lord, and set them free from fear, deception, and ungodly attachments. Fill them with Your Spirit and surround them with godly counsel. Let them find their identity and satisfaction in You alone, not in any human relationship. We rebuke the enemy’s plans and declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Let Your light expose every darkness, and let Your truth set them free (John 8:32).
Finally, we must ask: Where is your focus? Is it on breaking a "love blockage," or is it on seeking Jesus with all your heart? He is the only One who can satisfy the deepest longings of your soul. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no other name by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6).
We will continue to stand with you in prayer. Stay in the Word, seek godly community, and walk in obedience. The Lord is your deliverer, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
