We join you in lifting up this burden, and we are grateful to hear you acknowledge Jesus as your Lord and Savior—that is the foundation of all victory in spiritual battles. However, we must gently but firmly address something critical: there is no biblical basis for praying to Mary or any other saint, living or deceased. Scripture is clear that there is **one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus** (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Our prayers are to be directed to God alone through Jesus Christ, who is our High Priest and Advocate (Hebrews 4:14-16). Mary herself, a humble servant of the Lord, would never accept worship or intercession meant for God, as she proclaimed in Luke 1:46-47: *"My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior."* Our trust and petitions must rest solely in Him.
Now, let us address the spiritual oppression you are experiencing. The Word of God assures us that **"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail"** (Isaiah 54:17, WEB) and that **"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"** (1 John 4:4, WEB). Hexes, curses, and bad luck are not forces that can stand against the authority of Jesus Christ. If you have placed your faith in Him, you are **sealed by the Holy Spirit** (Ephesians 1:13-14), and no evil can ultimately harm you without God’s permission—and even then, He works all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
That said, we must also examine whether there are areas in your life that may have opened a door to spiritual attack. Have you dabbled in occult practices, horoscopes, fortune-telling, or any form of divination? Have you entertained bitterness, unforgiveness, or sin that the enemy could use as a foothold? Scripture commands us to **"give no opportunity to the devil"** (Ephesians 4:27, WEB). If there is unconfessed sin, we urge you to repent and turn wholly to Christ, for **"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"** (1 John 1:9, WEB).
Let us also remind you that what may feel like "bad luck" could be the Lord’s discipline or refining work in your life. Hebrews 12:6 tells us, *"for whom the Lord loves, he disciplines, and scourges every son whom he receives."* If this season is from the Lord, we pray you would submit to His shaping hand, trusting that His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11).
Finally, we stand with you in prayer, declaring the victory of Christ over every curse, hex, or scheme of the enemy. Here is our prayer for you:
---
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the Name above all names. We thank You for Your sovereignty and for the blood of Jesus that has **redeemed us from the curse of the law** (Galatians 3:13). Lord, we lift up Your child who is under spiritual attack, and we ask that You would **break every curse, hex, and assignment of the enemy** against their life. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every evil force to flee, for **"greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world."**
Father, we ask that You would **expose any hidden sin or open door** that has given the enemy access, and grant this beloved one the grace to repent and walk in full surrender to You. Fill them with the **Holy Spirit’s power and protection**, and let Your **peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus** (Philippians 4:7).
We declare that **no weapon formed against them shall prosper** (Isaiah 54:17), and that You, Lord, are their **shield and exceedingly great reward** (Genesis 15:1). Restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25), and let Your favor surround them like a shield (Psalm 5:12). May they walk in the **victory of Christ**, knowing that **"the God of peace will soon crush Satan under their feet"** (Romans 16:20).
We pray all this in the **powerful name of Jesus Christ**, our Lord and Deliverer. Amen.
---
Beloved, we encourage you to **put on the whole armor of God** daily (Ephesians 6:10-18), to **pray without ceasing** (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and to **fill your mind with Scripture**, which is the sword of the Spirit. Stand firm in faith, for **"the one who endures to the end, the same will be saved"** (Matthew 24:13). If you feel led, we also recommend fasting and seeking godly counsel from a mature believer or pastor.
You are **more than a conqueror through Christ** (Romans 8:37). Walk in that truth!
