Prayer for reconciliation, and peace.

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Lord, I pray to you today because I recently fell out with a close friend, ### that I have known for two years now. I pray that we both forgive each other and in time that our friendship is restored to as it was. I also pray for myself as I haven't been sleeping since our fall out. I rely miss spending time with my friend and I love her to bits. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

We join with you in bringing this friendship before the Lord and we thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father. We hear the ache in your heart over this falling out with your close friend of two years and the heaviness you have felt in missing her and losing sleep, and we lift both of you up together seeking God's will.

The Lord calls us to pursue peace and forgiveness with one another as He has forgiven us. Scripture reminds us, Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32 and bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do Colossians 3:13. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God Matthew 5:9 and If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. Reconciliation is precious to God and He honors a humble heart that seeks to make things right, even when it takes time.

We encourage you to continue to pray for your friend and to be willing to take the first step in love when the Lord opens the door, speaking truth gently, listening well, confessing any part you may have had, and extending forgiveness freely whether or not it is asked for. True restoration cannot be forced but entrusted to God, and sometimes He uses a season of distance to grow humility and deeper grace in both hearts. Keep loving her to bits as you said, but entrust the outcome and the timing to Him.

We also lift up your sleeplessness and restlessness to the Lord, for He cares about your peace. We are told In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. You can lay your burden down at night knowing that In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8.

We pray together now. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this dear one and her beloved friend before You. We ask that You soften both hearts, help each to forgive as You have forgiven us, and heal any hurt, pride, or misunderstanding that caused this division. Lord, work in both lives to bring conviction where needed and grace to extend mercy. If it is Your will, restore this friendship in Your perfect time and make it even stronger and more Christ honoring than before. We also ask for Your peace to guard our friend's heart and mind, to calm anxious thoughts, and to grant deep and restful sleep. Let her cast all her cares on You knowing You care for her. Draw both friends closer to You through this trial and let Your love be evident in how they love one another. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We hear how heavy this has been after falling out with your close friend. Two years of closeness makes the distance feel sharp, and it makes sense you would miss her deeply and find sleep hard right now. We are praying for you both.

One thing that has helped others in this kind of pain is remembering that forgiveness and reconciliation are not exactly the same. You can choose in your own heart to release resentment and wish her well, even while rebuilding trust takes time and needs willingness on both sides. Holding that distinction can take some pressure off as you wait to see what God does with the friendship.

If you feel ready, a simple, kind note without pressing for an immediate answer can open a door, something like sharing that you value the friendship, you are sorry for your part, and you would welcome talking when she is ready. Whether she responds quickly or needs more time, you can keep caring for yourself in the waiting. If the sleepless nights continue, please consider reaching out to a trusted pastor or counselor and to your doctor alongside prayer.

Father, we bring this friendship to You and ask for Your peace over our friend in these restless nights. Grant rest, clarity and gentle healing, and lead both friends toward forgiveness in Your timing. Give wisdom for next steps and comfort in Your nearness. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have carried your burden to the throne of grace and have prayed with you for this breach in friendship which now so heavily presses upon your heart and robs you of sleep.

There is forgiveness with God, and from that fountain all true forgiveness among men must flow. The Scripture says, There is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared. This forgiveness is divine, for I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is surprising forgiveness, complete forgiveness, and eternal forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ. If you have sought the Lord and trusted in His Son, know that your own sins are put away, not by your merit but by His grace, and that peace which passeth all understanding may be yours even while sorrow surges round you.

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusteth in You. That perfect peace is not found in circumstances being made smooth at once, but in the blood of Jesus whispering peace within, and in a mind stayed upon Christ. When duties press and when loved ones seem far away, even though they be near in distance yet far in affection, in Jesus keeping we are safe and they are safe. Bear this sorrow with Him. Tell Him in the night watches what keeps you from sleep, for He gives His beloved sleep, and He can calm the restless thoughts that come with grief and longing.

We pray that the Lord will work in both hearts a willingness to forgive even as Christ forgave you. The pattern set before us is, Even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. This is a joint work of mutual forgiveness, not a keeping of accounts but a blotting out of the debt, as a creditor forgives a debtor who has nothing to pay. If there has been fault on either side, may the Spirit give humility to confess it and grace to release it, not counting the offense again. Revenge is paltry, but forgiveness is great minded and ennobling, and it reflects the Saviour who continues daily to forgive His people.

We have asked the Lord that if it be His will, He would in His good time restore this friendship to a healthy and peaceable fellowship, that you both may forgive one another freely and speak the truth in love. And we have asked that whether restoration be immediate or be wrought slowly, He would keep you in His perfect peace now, guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus, and grant you quietness of body and spirit and refreshing sleep.

May the Lord show you that there is forgiveness with Him for every sin confessed through Christ, and may that same forgiveness teach your hands to be open toward your friend. Cast your care upon Him, stay your mind upon Him, and trust Him to do what is right and good for you both.

We will continue to pray that the God of all peace will speak peace to your soul, reconcile what has been broken according to His wisdom, and cause you to lie down in peace and sleep, for He alone maketh you to dwell in safety. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and peace, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for reconciliation and peace has been heard, and I join with you in bringing it before the Lord.

It is good that you desire forgiveness and restored friendship, for peace is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy. Christ Himself came to make peace, reconciling us to God not merely by words but through the blood of His cross, so that those who were at enmity might be brought near. If He reconciled us when we were far off, how much more does He call us to abide in peace with one another and not return to strife. The peacemakers are called sons of God for this reason, because they imitate the Son of God who set at peace the things in heaven and on earth.

True friendship is not made by only eating and drinking together, for even robbers have that kind of companionship, but by caring for one another and helping one another toward what is good. A friendship that is built for virtue remains and endures every change. So as you pray for restoration, ask also that your friendship may be of this profitable kind, where you help one another, speak truth in love, and hinder what leads away from God. This means being willing to forgive as you have been forgiven, to speak humbly, to take the first step toward peace when it is possible, and to give time for healing.

I also hear your weariness from sleepless nights and your sorrow in missing your friend. Cast your anxiety upon the Lord, for He cares for you and gives rest to His beloved. Pray for calm in your heart even as you wait, trusting that God is at work in both of you.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we thank You that through Jesus Christ You have made peace by the blood of the cross and reconciled us to Yourself. We ask You to work reconciliation between these two friends where there has been hurt. Grant them humble hearts to forgive one another as You have forgiven them, and wisdom to speak with grace and truth. Restore what has been broken in Your time and make their friendship stronger and more rooted in virtue and love for You. Grant also peaceful sleep and comfort to this one who is troubled, quieting anxious thoughts and filling the heart with Your peace which passes understanding. Lead them both closer to Christ, in whose name we pray, Amen.
