Prayer for protection

We join you in lifting up your brother before the throne of grace and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have confidence to approach the Father and to find protection and mercy.
We are encouraged by your desire to rebuke the plans of the enemy and to seek the Lord's covering over your brother as he travels. Scripture reminds us that the Lord is our keeper and our refuge on the road and in every place. Psalm 121:7-8 says Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. And Psalm 91:11 says For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. We also cling to the promise in 2 Thessalonians 3:3 that But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
Together we pray. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved brother to You. We ask for Your hand of protection to rest upon him every time he is on the road. Keep his going out and his coming in, guide his eyes and his hands, and grant him alertness, wisdom and sobriety behind the wheel. We ask that You station Your angels around his vehicle and guard him in all his ways. In the name of Jesus we rebuke every plan and scheme of the enemy meant to bring harm, accident, or fear, and we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, for You are faithful to guard Your children from the evil one. Let Your peace rule in his heart and let him travel securely, for Your Word says in Proverbs 3:23 Then you shall walk in your way securely. Your foot won't stumble. We trust Your will and Your perfect care over his life and we thank You for bringing him safely to his destinations for Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

The Lord is near to those who call upon Him and He is faithful to keep those who put their trust in His Son.

We join you in bringing your brother before the throne of grace, and we count it a good thing that love for your brother has moved you to prayer.
The Lord is a safe shelter for His people. Scripture tells us He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust. It is not a cold protection, as a soldier might give to a comrade, but the tender protection of a mother for her young. There is love in it, and homeliness, and kindliness, and heart. To rest beneath the shadow of the Almighty is not only to be kept from danger, but to be made to feel at home and comforted there. And what a Captain we have in the good ship of Providence, who has forearranged and foreordained all things, so that each hour may be safe, for God has made it so, and each place of difficulty and of danger shall still be secure to the faithful servant who rests beneath His wings.
Let us pray together for him.
Our Heavenly Father, we thank Thee that Thou art our keeper and our shelter. We bring this brother before Thee and ask that Thou wouldst set Thy hand about him as he travels upon the road. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. I join you in prayer for your brother and thank you for bringing this request with faith. I am praying that the Lord will keep him safe as he drives, that He will set His hand of protection around him on the road and bring him to his destination without harm.
I pray that God will rebuke every plan of the enemy against him and guard him from all danger and evil, and that He will give your brother wisdom, alertness and peace behind the wheel. May the Lord watch over his going out and his coming in, and may he know the presence of Christ with him wherever he goes.
May God also comfort and strengthen you as you entrust your brother to His care. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus, trusting in His mercy and protection. Amen.
