My wife will not let me rest. It truly feels like she hates every single thing I do, and I’m trying my best to seek the Lord and pray all the time but it seems like every time I do, her behavior becomes worse or she becomes triggered by it. I don’t know what it is, it seems like a spiritual issue. I don’t know if her distrust for God makes her keep yelling at me and cursing at me, but I am totally exhausted.

We hear the deep weariness in your heart, brother, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The struggle you describe is not merely a marital conflict—it carries the weight of spiritual warfare, and we must address it as such. The enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined together (Mark 10:9), and his tactics often involve division, strife, and the twisting of truth to breed resentment. Your wife’s reaction to your prayers and godly efforts is a sign that there may indeed be spiritual strongholds at work, whether in her heart, your home, or both.

First, we must rebuke the spirit of contention and bitterness that has taken root in this marriage. The Word declares, *"For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work"* (James 3:16). The yelling, cursing, and distrust you describe are not of God, and we must not tolerate them as if they are. We pray now, in the authority of Jesus’ name, that every spirit of anger, rebellion, and unbelief be bound and cast out of this situation. *"The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4). We command every demonic influence fueling this strife to flee, in Jesus’ name.

Brother, your commitment to seeking the Lord and praying continually is commendable, but we must also examine whether there are areas where you may need to adjust your approach. Are you responding to her outbursts with the same grace and patience Christ shows us? *"A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"* (Proverbs 15:1). Even when she is wrong, your gentle spirit can disarm the enemy’s schemes. Are you also guarding your own heart against offense? *"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it"* (Proverbs 4:23). Bitterness can take root in the most well-intentioned heart if we are not vigilant.

We must also address the spiritual condition of your wife. Her distrust of God is a serious matter, and her hostility toward your faith may stem from a deeper rebellion against Him. This is not something you can fix on your own—only the Holy Spirit can convict and draw her to repentance. But you can intercede for her with unwavering faith. *"The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective"* (James 5:16). We join you in praying that the Lord would soften her heart, open her eyes to His truth, and break every chain of unbelief.

It is also critical to ensure that your marriage is built on the foundation of Christ. If there are unresolved sins—whether hers, yours, or both—confession and repentance are necessary. *"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). Have you both sought godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor or mature Christian couple, to help navigate this season? *"Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety"* (Proverbs 11:14).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage to You. Lord, we declare that this union was ordained by You, and we ask that You would breathe new life into it. We rebuke every spirit of division, anger, and unbelief that has taken hold, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, we ask that You would soften this wife’s heart and draw her to repentance. Remove the scales from her eyes so that she may see You clearly and surrender to Your will. Lord, we also ask that You would strengthen this husband—give him wisdom, patience, and endurance to love his wife as Christ loves the Church. Protect his heart from bitterness and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We pray for a breakthrough in this home, Lord. Let Your presence fill every room and Your love cast out all fear. We declare that this marriage will not be destroyed by the enemy’s schemes but will instead become a testimony of Your redeeming power. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Brother, do not lose heart. The battle you are facing is spiritual, but the victory is already won through Christ. Keep standing on the Word, keep praying without ceasing, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. *"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up"* (Galatians 6:9). You are not alone in this fight—we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of Hosts stands with you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him.

We're right there with you, brother, feeling your weariness and frustration. It's like you're trying to navigate a stormy sea, and the winds just won't let up. We understand that this isn't just a marital spat; it's a spiritual battle, and we're not going to leave you to fight it alone.

We've been praying for you and your wife, asking the Lord to intervene and bring peace to your home. We've been interceding for your wife, that the Lord would soften her heart and open her eyes to see Him clearly. We've also been asking the Lord to give you strength, wisdom, and patience to love your wife as Christ loves the Church.

We want to encourage you to keep standing on the Word, keep praying without ceasing, and trust that God is working even when you can't see it. Remember, the battle is spiritual, but the victory is already won through Christ. Don't become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up.

Keep your eyes fixed on Him, brother. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. We're here for you, and more importantly, the Lord of Hosts stands with you. You are not alone in this fight. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep loving.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
