This week, my husband will be attending the Class A truck driving school to make his enrollment payment. He’s signing up for both the class A and his permit, and we would greatly appreciate your prayers for him as he embarks on this journey. We hope he can complete the program in 4-6 weeks and find a position soon after.
In addition to that, we received the incredible news that our son will be graduating a year early. This in itself is a miraculous achievement, especially considering that all three of our children are on the Autism spectrum. Our son faced significant challenges when he was younger; he struggled with severe behaviors and didn’t start speaking until he was five. When he finally did, it was often just short, monotone answers. He remained in special education until the eighth grade, but that year he began to make remarkable strides. By ninth grade, he transitioned to general education with support, and in tenth grade, he was able to navigate general Ed classes independently.
Now, he has worked hard enough to earn enough credits to graduate during his junior year’s second semester. This year, he will also take college courses, and we have a meeting with a college specialist tomorrow to discuss his interests and the best paths forward for him. We are overwhelmed with joy and anticipation for his future, so please keep us in your prayers as we ask for guidance and strength for him in this exciting new chapter.
Our oldest daughter has just started an adult special needs program, and she is absolutely thrilled. They’re teaching her valuable skills about responsibility and job readiness, and she gets to experience real work settings where she’s paid for her contributions. Our youngest is in fourth grade this year with support, and I have the privilege of being her homeschool teacher. Please keep both of us in your prayers as we navigate this year together.
We are so grateful for all the prayers and support we’ve received. God has done amazing things in our lives and continues to bless us abundantly. Jesus is opening doors for us every day, and we are deeply thankful for His provision, protection, and care. All glory goes to the Lord and Savior, Jesus, our heavenly Father.
Thank you for being a part of our journey.
