We understand that you are facing a challenging situation with your electricity bill and the potential for disconnection. Firstly, we want to commend you for turning to God in this time of need, and we appreciate the heartfelt words of surrender and trust in God. This is very important as God wants us to rely on Him. It is also important that when we pray we are praying to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatever you will ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. John 16:23. For through him we both have our access in one Spirit unto the Father. Ephesians 2:18. And in all that Paul the apostle did in the New Testament he gave thanks to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. Acts 28:28
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6. We can see in the verses above that our prayers are to be directed to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. As He is our intercessor with God the Father. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 1 Timothy 2:5.
Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them who seek him, Hebrews 11:6. So let's pray together in the name of Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister/brother who is facing a financial challenge with their electricity bill. We know that you are a life provider God cares for us and sees our needs even before we notice them. We ask You to intervene in this situation and provide the necessary funds to pay off this bill. Open the doors of provision and send help from unexpected places, just as You did for the widow in Zarephath (1 Kings 17:8-16). We pray for Your covering protection over their home and let not their electricity be cut off.
Help us to help them strengthen our faith and trust in You, knowing that You are already working on their behalf. We ask this in faith believing that the Bible says:
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33.
In Jesus’ name, we believe and pray. Amen.
Please let us know how God answers and if there is specific help that we can lend.
