Prayer for our ### and ###

Heymor

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for our son who is considering Recovery, again. And my husband who is struggling at work. May the outcome be better than my wildest dreams, and may I believe it is totally possible for blessing to happen even if things do not go the way I want. I pray for myself to let go and let go.

We lift up your heartfelt requests before the Father, knowing that He hears and answers the prayers of His children when we come in faith through the name of Jesus Christ. Your desire for your son’s recovery and your husband’s struggles at work weighs deeply on our hearts, and we join you in seeking God’s perfect will in these matters.

First, we rejoice that you recognize the need to surrender control to the Lord, trusting that His ways are higher than ours. As it is written, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Your prayer to "let go and let God" aligns with Scripture, for we are called to cast our anxieties upon Him, knowing He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Yet even in surrender, we must actively trust—not just in the outcome we desire, but in the goodness of God regardless of how He chooses to work.

For your son, we pray earnestly for true repentance and transformation, not just another attempt at recovery in his own strength. The road of addiction is treacherous, and lasting change only comes through the power of Christ. *"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new"* (2 Corinthians 5:17, WEB). We rebuke the enemy’s hold over his life and declare freedom in Jesus’ name. Pray that your son would encounter the Holy Spirit in a way that breaks every chain, for *"where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty"* (2 Corinthians 3:17, WEB). Remind him that recovery is not just about abstaining from sin but being filled with the Spirit—replacing old habits with the Word of God, fellowship with believers, and a heart fully surrendered to Christ.

For your husband, we ask the Lord to grant him wisdom, favor, and supernatural strength in his work. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23, WEB). If his struggle stems from stress, unfairness, or even a toxic environment, we pray God would either change the circumstances or give him the grace to endure with joy. We also ask the Lord to reveal if there are areas where your husband needs to seek godly counsel, set boundaries, or even consider a new path if that aligns with God’s will. *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established"* (Proverbs 16:3, WEB).

As for you, dear sister, we sense the Lord speaking to your heart about *faith without conditions*. You’ve asked for blessings "even if things do not go the way I want," and this is a beautiful posture. Yet we gently challenge you: Do you truly believe God’s blessings might look different than your "wildest dreams"? His ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9), and sometimes His greatest gifts come through trials that refine us. *"Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing"* (James 1:2-4, WEB). We pray you would experience the peace that surpasses understanding as you release your family into God’s hands, trusting that He is working all things for good—*even when the path is hard* (Romans 8:28).

Finally, we must address something missing in your request: the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is *only* through Him that we approach the throne of grace (John 14:6, Hebrews 4:16). When we pray, we come boldly *in Jesus’ name*, for He is our Mediator. If you have not already, we urge you to place your full trust in Christ alone for salvation, confessing Him as Lord. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). There is power in the name of Jesus—power to break addictions, restore marriages, and provide in times of need.

**Our Prayer for You:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this family to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask for a supernatural breakthrough for their son—break every chain of addiction, renew his mind, and draw him into a deep, abiding relationship with You. Give him the strength to walk in freedom and the humility to seek You daily. For this husband, we pray for wisdom, favor, and provision in his work. Open doors no man can shut, and let Your peace guard his heart. And for this wife and mother, we ask for an unshakable trust in Your sovereignty. Help her to release her fears and cling to Your promises, knowing You are working even when she cannot see. Fill their home with Your presence, Lord, and let Your will be done in their lives—*not as they imagine, but as You ordain*. We rebuke the enemy’s lies of despair and declare Your victory over this family. May they testify of Your faithfulness, for Your glory alone. In Jesus’ powerful name, Amen.

Stand firm in faith, sister. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He will not abandon you. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep pointing your family to Christ—the Author and Perfecter of their faith.

We're right there with you, dear friend, lifting up your loved ones before our Heavenly Father. Your heart's cry for your son's recovery and your husband's strength at work echoes in our own hearts. We join you in seeking God's perfect will in these matters, trusting that He hears and answers our prayers in Jesus' name.

We're inspired by your resolve to let go and let God, surrendering control and trusting in His goodness, even when the path isn't clear. Let's cling to that trust, knowing that God's ways are indeed higher than ours. As it's written, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).

For your son, let's pray for a genuine encounter with the Holy Spirit, one that breaks every chain of addiction and draws him into a deep, abiding relationship with Jesus. May he find true freedom and transformation, not just another attempt at recovery. Let's also intercede for your husband, asking God for wisdom, favor, and supernatural strength in his work. If there are areas where he needs to seek godly counsel, set boundaries, or even consider a new path, may the Lord reveal these to him and grant him the grace to follow through.

As for you, dear sister, let's lean into that faith without conditions. Yes, we pray for blessings, but let's also be open to the possibility that God's blessings might look different than our wildest dreams. His ways are not our ways, and sometimes His greatest gifts come through trials that refine us. Let's trust that He's working all things for good, even when the path is hard.

And remember, we find our confidence and security in Jesus alone. There's power in His name - power to break addictions, restore marriages, and provide in times of need. Let's keep praying, keep trusting, and keep pointing our family to Christ - the Author and Perfecter of our faith.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
