Prayer for October - Happy new month !

Dear God,

Thank You Lord for this new month and we ask that You bless October for Your people, grant them a special grace over this month in Jesus' name.

Restore their confidence and heal their hurts in Jesus' name

Give them new encounters with You in Jesus' name

May they experience restoration where they need it the most whether it be health, finances, relationally or spiritual needs in Jesus' name

Give them the strength to not be overcome of any challenges as they come in Jesus' name

Help them to not focus on the past pain but look ahead to the 'new things' You are doing in Jesus' name

Cause them to look up to God and not down on their problems for You Lord hold the power to resolve problems in Jesus' name

Lord where people have disrespected them cause them to not meditate on this but wash their minds in the Word of God as they lock in the Word in Jesus' name

Help them to not be their own stumbling block via sabotage in Jesus' name

Cause them to not be put to shame in this month of October, instead grant them favour, honour, Your grace and power to thrive in the month of October in Jesus' name

Lord we give You honour and the praise for the coming testimonies to follow in Jesus' name

We join with you in thanking God for this new month of October and for the beautiful prayer you have lifted up for His people. We agree together in Jesus' name for all of these petitions, trusting that our Father hears us and delights to answer according to His perfect will.

We are encouraged by your heart to seek restoration, confidence, and fresh encounters with the Lord. Scripture reminds us that His mercies are new every morning and His faithfulness is great, Lamentations 3:22-23. Each new month is a reminder of that renewal. We do not have to carry the weight of past pain or past failures into October, for the Lord says, Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it springs out. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, Isaiah 43:18-19. We are called to forget what lies behind and stretch forward to what lies ahead, Philippians 3:13-14.

We pray with you for restoration in every area where there has been loss or hurt, whether in health, finances, relationships, or spiritual life. The Lord promises He will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, Joel 2:25, and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. We ask for that deep healing and renewed confidence not in ourselves but in Christ, for His grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in weakness, 2 Corinthians 12:9.

We also agree for strength to not be overcome by challenges. The Lord says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. And we are reminded to lift our eyes beyond our problems, I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth, Psalm 121:1-2. When others have disrespected or wounded us, we are not to meditate on that hurt but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind, Romans 12:2, allowing the washing of water with the Word, Ephesians 5:26, to cleanse our thoughts and anchor us in truth. We guard our hearts with all diligence, Proverbs 4:23, and walk in the sound mind God has given us, 2 Timothy 1:7, so that we do not become our own stumbling block through fear or self sabotage.

We stand with you that in this month of October none of His people will be put to shame, for those who look to Him shall be radiant, and their faces shall never be covered with shame, Psalm 34:5. Instead we ask for His favour and honour to rest upon them to thrive for His glory.

We pray together now, Father, we thank You for the gift of this new month. We praise You that Your compassions never fail and Your mercies are new every morning. We lift up every person who is seeking You in October and ask for Your special grace to cover them. Restore their confidence where it has been shaken and heal every hidden hurt. Draw them into new and deeper encounters with You through Your Word and Your presence. Bring restoration where it is most needed, in bodies that need healing, in finances that need provision, in relationships that need reconciliation, and in spirits that need renewal. Grant them strength to stand firm when challenges come, that they would not be overcome but would be more than conquerors through Him who loved us, Romans 8:37. Help them to release past pain and to look ahead with hope to the new thing You are doing. Teach them to look up to You rather than down at their problems, knowing You hold all power to resolve what we cannot. Wash their minds in Your Word and keep them from dwelling on disrespect or offense. Keep them from self sabotage and from being a stumbling block to themselves. Let no shame overtake them this month, but pour out Your favour, honour, grace and power so they may thrive and bear fruit for Your kingdom. We give You all honour and praise in advance for the testimonies that will follow, for we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony, Revelation 12:11. We ask all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and through whom we have boldness to come before Your throne. Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer welcoming October. Thank you for taking time to lift up so many needs at once and to give thanks first. Your words carry such care for others to know confidence again, to be healed where they hurt, and to meet with God in fresh ways.

We hear how you are asking for restoration in the places that feel most tender, whether health, finances, relationships or walk with the Lord, and for strength not to be overcome when challenges come. And that turn you prayed for, to look up to God rather than down at problems, and to let His Word renew our minds instead of replaying disrespect or past pain, is such a steady way to walk through a new month. It is also wise to ask that we not get in our own way.

One simple way to carry this prayer forward through October is to take one line you prayed, like looking up to God or washing our minds in His Word, and turn it into a brief morning prayer for that day. It keeps the focus where you placed it, on what God is doing now rather than on past hurts.

Father, we thank You for the gift of this new month. We ask You to meet each person reading this with Your nearness, to restore what is broken according to Your will, to lift their eyes to You and guard their minds in Your truth. We join with you in giving thanks to the Lord for His mercies which are new every morning, and for bringing us into this new month of October by His gracious hand.

It is right to ask the Lord to bless this month for His people, and we pray with you that those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength according to His promise. Human strength will spend itself and fail, for apart from God it is not strength at all, but they that wait upon Him exchange their weakness for His inexhaustible omnipotence. May the Lord increase strength to those who have no might, and cause them to go from strength to strength as they walk before Him.

We pray that He who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds will heal every hurt and restore confidence not in self but in Christ. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, and even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing to the soul, to change the life blood and make the nature new. May those who are weary find pardon and healing together in Him, and renew their strength at the remembrance of His pardoning mercy.

We ask the Lord to grant new and near fellowship with Himself, for He delights to have communion with His people and to come with all His soul most heartily to display His favour toward the objects of His choice. Where there is need of restoration, whether in health, in provision, in relationships or in spiritual life, may He who says I will strengthen them in the Lord faithfully perform His promise, for He Himself imparts strength fitly and wisely. Though restoration after long illness or trial may seem slow, His touch can revive and recover, that His people may turn over a new leaf and taste the healing leaves and revive out of decline.

We pray that by faith His people may be kept from being overcome, looking up to God and not down upon their problems, for He holds power to resolve what we cannot. Help them, O Lord, not to meditate upon past pain or upon disrespect from others, but to wash their minds in the Word of God and to lock that Word in their hearts, that hope may beget confidence and confidence bring assurance. Keep them from self confidence which goes before a fall, and from becoming a stumbling block to themselves, but teach them to trust wholly in Christ who is their strength and righteousness, their all.

May none be put to shame who trust in Him, but may they know His favour and grace and power to thrive and to walk up and down in His name, doing battles for their Master in the strength of the covenant of grace. We give Him honour and praise beforehand for the testimonies which His grace will surely bring, and we ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom alone is salvation, Amen.

We thank God with you for the gift of a new month and we join our prayers to yours for October.

We ask the Lord in Jesus name to grant His people grace for this month, to restore confidence and to heal hurts. Scripture teaches that God does not force our will but when we willingly turn to Him He gives us confidence and boldness to draw near. As Christ asked those who followed Him what they were seeking, not because He did not know but to calm their fear and give them boldness, so we pray He will calm anxious hearts and make you bold to seek Him and to hear His voice.

We pray for restoration where you most need it, in health, in provision, in relationships and in your walk with God, according to His wise and good will. We ask for strength so that trials will not overcome you, and that whether by life or by any hardship you will not be put to shame but will bear all things nobly in Christ. Our Lord Himself endured the cross and despised its shame to teach us not to live for the approval of people but to live with courage before God.

We pray you will not remain focused on past pain or on disrespect you have received, but that you will wash your mind in the Word of God and set your eyes on Him who has power to resolve what troubles you. We pray you will renounce any hidden things of shame and walk honestly before God and before others, not sabotaging the good work He is doing in you, and not being your own stumbling block.

We ask that instead of shame the Lord will give you favor and grace to thrive in holiness and in love for Him this month, looking up to Him and to the new things He is doing. We give Him thanks in advance for the testimonies of His mercy, trusting that all His promises stand firm in Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father. Amen.
