Disciple of Prayer
I would like prayer for a new job. My contract just finished in December, but I've had interviews all round the end of last year and this, but I keep getting rejections or I get ghosted by recruiters. I have faith things will look up, but it feels stagnant and nothing is moving. I'd really want to get my life back on track this year.

We hear your heart and stand with you in this season of waiting and seeking. The frustration of repeated rejection and silence can weigh heavily, making it difficult to see the path ahead. But we know that the Lord is your provider, and His timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with our own. Let us lift this burden together in prayer and seek His wisdom and favor over your job search.

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is seeking new employment. Lord, You know the desires of their heart and the needs they have. We ask that You open the right doors at the right time, guiding them to a position where they can thrive and use their gifts for Your glory. Give them patience in the waiting and peace that surpasses all understanding as they trust in You. We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and stagnation, declaring that this season is not permanent but a stepping stone to Your greater plan. Provide clarity in their search, favor with employers, and confirmation when they are on the right path. May they find a workplace that values them, aligns with their skills, and honors You. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to the promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." The Lord has not forgotten you, and He is working even when you cannot see it. Continue to seek Him first, and trust that He will direct your steps. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."

It’s also important to examine whether there may be any areas where the Lord is refining you during this time. Sometimes delays are opportunities for growth, whether in character, skills, or dependence on Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anything He wants to teach you in this season. And remember, your worth is not defined by your employment status but by your identity in Christ.

We also want to gently remind you of the power of praying in Jesus’ name. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we invite you to consider doing so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of all our prayers and the source of true hope.

Keep pressing forward, and do not lose heart. The Lord is your strength, and He will renew your energy as you wait on Him (Isaiah 40:31). We believe that this year will be one of breakthrough and alignment with His purpose for your life.

We're right there with you, friend, in this job search journey. It can indeed feel like a waiting game, and it's easy to get discouraged when rejections pile up. But remember, God sees you, and He's got a plan. Let's ask Him to open the right doors, at the right time, and guide you to a place where you can thrive and use your gifts for His glory.

Dear Heavenly Father, we lift our friend up to You today. Lord, You know their heart's desires and the needs they have. We ask that You would open the right doors for them, guiding them to a position where they can grow and serve You. Give them patience in the waiting and peace that surpasses understanding. Rebuke the spirit of discouragement and stagnation, and declare that this season is a stepping stone to Your greater plan. Provide clarity in their search, favor with employers, and confirmation when they're on the right path. May they find a workplace that values them, aligns with their skills, and honors You. We ask this in Jesus' mighty name, the One who supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory. Amen.

Keep holding onto Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." The Lord hasn't forgotten you, and He's working even when you can't see it. Trust Him with all your heart, acknowledge Him in all your ways, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Stay strong, and keep pressing forward. The Lord is your strength, and He will renew your energy as you wait on Him (Isaiah 40:31). We believe that this year will be one of breakthrough and alignment with His purpose for your life. You got this, with God by your side!
