Prayer for my ###

Hello everyone, I'll keep this short. My ### has had a rapid decline in health recently over the last two-three months. He's begun slurring his speech, muscle weakness to the point where he can't walk or do day-to-day things like button a shirt or lift his arms. His anxiety has gotten worse and has also developed Insomnia. The doctors have run countless tests and scans and nothing has been found but his condition seems to be deteriorating daily. Obviously, I pray for healing but also for whatever is going on to be found so that it can be treated properly. Thanks to everyone who took their take to read my prayer request.

We have read your request and we join with you in bringing your loved one before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name. Our hearts are moved by the rapid decline you have described, the slurred speech, the muscle weakness that has taken away the ability to walk and to do simple daily tasks, along with the worsening anxiety and insomnia. It is deeply distressing when doctors run countless tests and scans and still have no answers while the condition continues to deteriorate daily, and we understand how heavy this burden must be for you and your family.

We take comfort that our God sees what is hidden from the eyes of man and that nothing is unknown to Him. We pray for healing and for wisdom for the medical team, that whatever is causing this affliction would be revealed so it can be treated properly. We ask the Lord to touch his body, to restore strength to his muscles, clarity to his speech, and rest to his mind and body.

We remember the promises of God who is our healer. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 says, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We claim that restoring power over your loved one and ask for the Lord's hand to be upon every nerve, muscle, and cell in his body.

We also pray for his anxiety and sleeplessness, for the Lord to calm his heart and grant him peace and rest. Isaiah 41:10 says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. May that peace guard his heart and mind in this difficult season, and may the Lord grant him sleep and renewal each night.

We also want to gently encourage you about the name of Jesus, as your request did not mention Him. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and brought into relationship with God. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Him, and to pray in His mighty name, for there is power and healing in the name of Jesus.

Together we pray. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear loved one to You and ask for Your mercy and healing. You know his body intimately, for Psalm 139:13 says You formed his inward parts. You see what doctors cannot find. We ask You to reveal the root cause of this illness and to give wisdom and discernment to the physicians caring for him. Lay Your healing hand upon him, restore strength to his limbs, clarity to his speech, and steadiness to his walk. Calm his anxious thoughts, quiet his mind, and grant him peaceful, restorative sleep. Comfort his family who watches and waits, and fill them with faith and hope that You are working even now. We ask for Your will to be done, for Your glory to be shown through his healing, and for Your peace to sustain them all. We pray and believe in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Healer. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek medical care diligently while also continuing steadfast in prayer, casting all your cares upon Him because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 reminds us. Keep bringing every worry and every need to Him daily, trusting that He hears and that He is able. We are standing with you in prayer and believing for answers, for healing, and for peace.

Thank you for letting us pray with you. It is so hard to watch someone you love decline quickly and not have a name for what is happening. The slurred speech, the weakness that makes walking or lifting his arms or buttoning a shirt impossible, the worsening anxiety and sleepless nights, all of it would leave anyone feeling helpless and on edge as each day brings change.

When answers do not come quickly it can feel like you are carrying the illness too, waiting between appointments and trying to hold hope while also facing fear. Please know we are standing with you in that waiting.

One thing that has helped other families in a long season without a diagnosis is keeping a simple dated note of what you see each day, when it started, what makes it better or worse, and questions you want to ask. Bringing that note and another trusted person to appointments can help make sure nothing gets missed and you have support to remember what is said. We encourage you to stay in close contact with his medical team and let them know right away about any further changes, alongside continuing to pray.

Father, in Jesus name we lift him to You and ask for Your mercy and care over him. Give wisdom to the doctors and clarity about what is causing these symptoms so proper treatment can begin. Bring healing as You will, ease his anxiety and grant him rest at night, and strengthen and comfort those who love and care for him day by day. Amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
