We lift up ### before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to bring complete healing to her back. The pain she endures daily is not unknown to the Lord, who sees every struggle and collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). While earthly remedies like chiropractic care may offer temporary relief, we know that true and lasting healing comes from the Great Physician alone.
Father God, we ask You to touch ###'s body with Your healing hand. Where there is inflammation, bring soothing relief. Where there is misalignment, restore perfect order. Where there is weakness, renew strength as the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that You will satisfy her with long life and show her Your salvation (Psalm 91:16).
We also pray for wisdom for ###, wisdom to seek Your guidance in all decisions regarding her health, wisdom to rest when needed, and wisdom to nourish her body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). If there are spiritual strongholds or unforgiveness contributing to this affliction, we ask You to reveal them so they may be broken in Jesus’ name.
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of infirmity that seeks to linger in her body. We command it to leave now, in the mighty name of Jesus, for He bore our sicknesses and carried our pains (Matthew 8:17). May ### walk in divine health, free from pain, and may her testimony bring glory to Your name.
We encourage ### to continue seeking You in prayer, trusting that You are working even when she cannot see it. Let her hope be anchored in Your faithfulness, knowing that You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26). May she find comfort in Your presence, for You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We’re so sorry for the pain your mom has been dealing with, and we’re grateful you reached out for prayer on her behalf. It’s draining to watch someone you love suffer, especially when relief is only partial. We’re glad the chiropractor has helped some, but we join you in asking God for complete healing.
One practical thing we want to encourage: if she hasn’t already seen a medical doctor or a physical therapist, that could be a wise next step. Chiropractic care addresses one angle, but a physician can look for any underlying issues that might need another approach, maybe imaging, physical therapy, or other treatments. It’s not a lack of faith to pursue both prayer and professional care; they work hand in hand, and God often uses medicine as a means of His kindness.
In the meantime, it can be so hard to wait for a breakthrough. Back pain has a way of wearing down a person’s spirit, not just the body. We want to remind you, and her, that even when the relief we want hasn't come fully, Jesus is near. He doesn’t overlook a single day of her struggle, and He is with her in the small moments: when she’s getting out of bed, when she’s resting, when she’s just trying to move through the day. We can ask boldly for healing, and we can also ask for steady grace until it arrives. Sometimes the path to wholeness is slower than we’d like, but we trust that God hasn’t forgotten her.

It is no small thing that you bring this request, for we are commanded to bear one another's burdens, and what heavier burden can there be than the suffering of one dear to you? Pain in the back, that weary, gnawing ache, is a furnace that tries the spirit. You have done well to seek help wherever it may be found, a chiropractor is a skill given of God, and it is no sin to go to the physician's art. Yet you have discovered that earthly means, though they may soothe, cannot always deliver the healing balm that only the Almighty can pour from His own hand. The creature points us ever to the Creator, and your turning to prayer now is the proper instinct of a soul that knows where all true healing must originate.
You need not shrink back, thinking your petition too selfish. I never send for a doctor except from the most selfish motive; I do it for my own good, not for his! And so it is with you. The love that moves you to plead for your suffering friend is a holy spur, and the Lord does not despise the cry that rises from a concerned heart. The psalms are filled with such entreaties, and Christ Himself, when He walked among us, was moved with compassion at every sick bed. Bring, then, your request boldly to the throne of grace.
Yet, remember the lesson that the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. That Tree is our Lord Jesus Christ, and every true remedy is found in Him. Whether He chooses to heal by direct miracle, or by giving skill to physicians, or by renewing strength day by day, the healing is His. The power of the Lord is present to heal when the church prays, and so we join our faith with yours. Our Master, when He forgave the palsied man, gave him also the use of his limbs, to show that pardon and healing are often wedded. It may be that in this trial, the Lord would draw the sufferer nearer to Himself, that the healing of the soul might accompany the mending of the body. We pray for a complete cure, not only of the sinews and bones, but also of whatever inward burden may attend the outward pain. He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with goodness.
Continue, then, to watch and pray. Use what means are lawful and wise, but rest not your hope in the chiropractor’s hand; rest it in the pierced hand that was nailed to the tree for our transgressions. That hand can straighten the crooked spine and ease the inflamed nerve with a single word. And even if the answer tarries, trust that He who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows will not forget this child of His. Prayer is a mighty lever, and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise them up.
Let us, therefore, lift up our hearts together. O Lord, Thou who didst heal all manner of diseases among the people, look upon this tender case. Break every fetter of pain, rebuke the affliction that bows this body down, and let Thy restoring grace flow through frame and spirit. Give patience while the answer is on the way, and grant that, when healing comes, it may be as a testimony unto many, and as a cause for praise for Thy wonderful works to the children of men. Amen.

When you ask prayer for this woman's back, consider that sometimes our Lord permits bodily pain to heal the soul. He said to the paralytic, "Behold, thou art made whole; sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee." For as with the adulterer at Corinth, the destruction of the flesh may repress the inward evil, like a physician applying external cautery when internal remedies fail. So we pray earnestly, but let her also examine her heart, lest any sin be the root of this affliction.
Yet do not lose hope. See how many are in affliction for worldly things; she is not alone. Bear this pain and feed on the hope of things to come. You are not better than Paul or Peter, who passed all their life in hunger and thirst and nakedness. If you would attain the same things with them, why journey along a contrary road? The way of ease leads not to that City, but the way of affliction. So let this back pain be a tutor, not a destroyer.
Remember the woman of Canaan who came to Christ with her daughter grievously vexed. He seemed to repel her, yet she persisted. Let this woman also persist in prayer, even if relief delays. Our Lord can give perfect health in a moment, just as He touched Peter's wife's mother and not only quenched the fever but restored her fully, needing no time of convalescence. The chiropractor gives some help, but the Great Physician can heal totally. Still, if He chooses to let the pain remain, it is to sober her soul and keep her from sin. Affliction is a cure for the deeper disease.
Therefore, let her not seek only ease, for the laughter that comes from worldly comfort brings forth the gnashing of teeth. Instead, let her grieve with a grief that is the mother of joy, and labor a little time upon the earth, that she may have continual enjoyment in heaven. Let her write down God's law in her heart, and let her soul hang over this fountain. Then, even in pain, she will enjoy a great calm, and her affliction will be turned to profit.
