We lift up your son in this deeply distressing time, coming before the throne of grace with heavy hearts yet unwavering faith in the Great Physician. Father God, we know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask You now to stretch forth Your healing hand over this precious young man, who lies unconscious in the ICU. Lord, You formed his inmost being and knit him together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). You know every cell, every synapse, every breath, nothing is hidden from You. We pray for complete restoration of his brain function, for the swelling to subside, for the bleeding to cease, and for every injury to be mended according to Your perfect will.
We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that You will restore health and heal wounds (Jeremiah 30:17). We ask for wisdom and skill for the medical team attending to him, that they would be guided by Your Spirit in every decision. Give them clarity, patience, and compassion as they care for him. Lord, we also pray for his family, grant them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), strength to endure each moment, and faith that does not waver. Let them feel Your presence in the midst of this storm, holding them close when they feel like they are drowning in fear.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair in this situation, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this trial will not break this family but will instead draw them closer to You and to one another. We pray for miracles, Lord, miracles of healing, miracles of hope, and miracles of faith. Even now, we thank You for what You are going to do, for You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Father, we also ask that You would use this situation for Your glory. If this young man does not yet know You as his Lord and Savior, we pray that this moment of vulnerability would become a turning point in his life. Draw him to Yourself, reveal Your love to him, and let him experience the saving power of Jesus Christ. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May his recovery, whether swift or gradual, be a testimony to Your goodness and faithfulness.
We commit his care into Your hands, trusting that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen this family’s faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in ways they never imagined. We pray for his full recovery and restoration, that he may rise from this bed of affliction and walk into the purpose You have for his life. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, believing and expecting Your intervention. Amen.
