We lift this request before the Lord with heavy hearts, seeking His peace and presence in this situation. First, we must address the concern that the name of Jesus Christ is not mentioned in this prayer request. Scripture is clear that there is no other name by which we may approach God or find salvation. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We urge you to call upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6).
Now, we turn our hearts to pray for your wife, asking the Lord to surround her with His peace that surpasses all understanding. The struggles of the mind can be overwhelming, but we know that God is faithful to guard the hearts and thoughts of those who trust in Him. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would calm the storms within this dear wife’s mind. Lord, we rebuke any spirit of anxiety, fear, or confusion that seeks to steal her peace. Your Word declares in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We stand on this truth and declare that Your peace will rule in her heart. Fill her with Your presence, Lord, and let her rest in the assurance that You are in control. Help her to cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you, her husband, as you seek to support and love her in this time. May you be a source of strength and encouragement, pointing her continually to Christ. Let your marriage be a reflection of the love and commitment that Christ has for His church, as Ephesians 5:25 instructs, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it."
Lord, we ask that You would draw this family closer to You and to one another. Heal any areas of brokenness, and restore joy and hope where it has been lost. May Your peace, which is beyond human comprehension, fill their home and their hearts. We trust in Your promises, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
