We join with you in lifting up your children before the Lord, knowing that He hears the cries of a parent’s heart and delights in guiding the steps of those who seek Him. Your love for your children is evident, and we commend you for entrusting them to the Lord’s care, for He alone can shape their hearts and direct their paths.
For your daughter, we pray that she would indeed find a **godly husband**—a man who fears the Lord, walks in His ways, and will lead her spiritually as Christ leads the Church. The Scriptures remind us, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). A marriage built on shared faith in Christ is the foundation for a home that honors God. We also pray for her career and health, that the Lord would open doors of opportunity and grant her strength, wisdom, and favor in all she does. May she seek first His Kingdom, trusting that *"all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
For your son, we lift him up with urgency, asking the Lord to break any chains of ungodly influences and to surround him with friends who will sharpen him in faith. The Word warns, *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals’"* (1 Corinthians 15:33, WEB). We pray that his eyes would be opened to the eternal weight of his choices and that he would turn away from any path that leads to destruction. May he embrace the truth that *"the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom"* (Proverbs 9:10, WEB) and that true fulfillment is found in surrendering to Christ. If there are past mistakes weighing on him, we pray he would experience the freedom of repentance and the cleansing power of God’s grace, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB).
We are grateful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is in His mighty name that we boldly approach the throne of grace.
Together, we pray:
*Heavenly Father, we thank You for the precious gift of these children and for the mother’s heart that seeks Your best for them. Lord, we ask that You draw them both closer to You, that they would walk in Your ways and not turn to the right or to the left. For the daughter, we pray for a godly husband who will cherish her as Christ cherishes the Church, a man of integrity and faith who will lead their home in Your truth. Guide her steps in her career and grant her health and wholeness, that she may glorify You in all things. For the son, we ask for divine intervention—break every ungodly tie and raise up godly friendships that will spur him on toward love and good works. Open his eyes to the truth of Your Word and convict his heart of anything that dishonors You. Give him a spirit of repentance and a hunger for righteousness. Lord, let Your will be done in their lives, and may they both come to know You more deeply each day. We ask all this in the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.*
Stand firm in faith, dear sister, for the Lord is at work. *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it"* (Proverbs 22:6, WEB). Keep praying, keep speaking life and truth over them, and trust that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in their lives.
