Prayer for my ###

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Jesus, please intercede. Please help to change ###'s behaviour and mindset. Not to waste ###'s youthful life and engage in non-meaningful activities. Please help ### to focus on ###'s academics.

We come before the Lord with you in unity, lifting up this heartfelt cry for this young person whose name is withheld but whose life is precious in the sight of God. It is beautiful that you have brought this request directly to Jesus, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Your faith in calling upon Jesus first is a testament to where your hope lies, and we join you in seeking His divine intervention.

The Word of God reminds us in **Proverbs 22:6**, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* Yet we also know that each person must ultimately choose to walk in the path of wisdom and righteousness. The youthful years are a critical time, where distractions and temptations abound, but they are also a season where the foundation for a purposeful life is built. **Ecclesiastes 12:1** urges, *"Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come, and the years draw near when you will say, 'I have no pleasure in them.'"*

If this young person is engaging in activities that are not honoring to God—whether it be laziness, rebellion, worldly distractions, or even sinful behaviors—we must pray for conviction and repentance. The Apostle Paul warns in **Ephesians 5:15-17**, *"Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is."* Time is a gift from God, and it is not to be wasted on pursuits that do not align with His will or build toward a future that honors Him.

We also recognize that academic focus is not just about earthly success but about stewardship—the responsible use of the mind and opportunities God has given. **Colossians 3:23** tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* If this young person is struggling with motivation or discipline, we pray that the Holy Spirit would ignite a passion within them to pursue excellence for God’s glory, not merely for personal achievement.

Yet, we must also consider the heart behind this request. Are you, the one praying, doing all you can to model and encourage godly behavior? Are there areas where you might need to speak truth in love, set boundaries, or provide godly counsel? **Proverbs 1:8-9** says, *"My son, listen to your father’s instruction, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching: for they will be a garland to grace your head, and chains around your neck."* If you are a parent, mentor, or authority figure in this young person’s life, we pray that God gives you wisdom to guide them with both grace and firmness.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this young soul who is at a crossroads in life. Lord, You know their heart, their struggles, and the distractions that seek to pull them away from Your perfect will. We ask that You would intervene supernaturally—soften their heart to receive Your truth and give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. Break every chain of laziness, rebellion, or worldly influence that seeks to hinder their walk with You.

Father, ignite within them a hunger for Your Word and a passion for the purposes You have ordained for their life. Help them to see the value of their time and to invest it in things that are eternal. Give them focus in their academics, not for the sake of pride or earthly gain, but as an act of worship to You, the Giver of all knowledge. Surround them with godly influences—mentors, friends, and leaders who will point them to You.

Lord, if there is any sin in their life—whether it be pride, lust, greed, or any other stronghold—we pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict them deeply. Bring them to repentance and fill them with Your peace and joy as they turn away from foolishness and walk in obedience. Let them experience the truth of **1 John 1:9**, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."*

We also pray for the one who has brought this request before You. Give them the words to speak, the patience to endure, and the faith to trust that You are working even when they cannot see it. May they be an example of Your love and truth, pointing this young person to the cross where true transformation begins.

Finally, Lord, we declare that this young life is not their own—it was bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus. May they live in the light of that truth, surrendering their plans, their time, and their future into Your hands. Let their youth be marked by a deep and abiding relationship with You, so that when they are older, they will not depart from it.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone can change hearts and redirect lives. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting up your loved one before the Lord these past few days. It has been our privilege to join with you in prayer, seeking God’s transformative power in this young life—asking Him to redirect their heart toward His purpose, renew their mind with His truth, and replace distraction with a hunger for wisdom and godly growth. We know how deeply you care, and we’ve been praying not only for change in their behavior but also for a supernatural work in their spirit, that they would encounter Jesus in a way that reshapes their priorities from the inside out.

If you’ve seen even the smallest shift—whether in their attitude, their choices, or their openness to God—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. Every step forward is evidence of His faithfulness, and your testimony could encourage others who are praying for their own prodigals. But if the struggle remains, or if new challenges have arisen, we urge you to post an update so we can continue contending for this young life in prayer. The Lord is not slow in keeping His promises, and we believe He is at work even when we cannot yet see the fruit.

Let us also remind you, dear sibling in Christ, that you are not alone in this burden. We are standing with you, asking the Lord to sustain *you* with hope and perseverance as you trust Him with someone you love so deeply. May He grant you peace that surpasses understanding and a fresh assurance that His plans for this young person are good—plans to prosper them, not to harm them, plans to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

We will keep praying, believing that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). May He bless you richly as you continue to seek Him, clinging to the promise that He who began a good work will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6).

In Jesus’ mighty and matchless name.
