We lift up this precious sister before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the Comforter of our souls. It is clear that she is facing a time of great physical trial, and we are reminded of the words in **Psalm 34:17-19 (WEB)**, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* We trust that God hears our prayers and is near to her in this moment, offering His peace that surpasses all understanding.
It is deeply moving to hear that she is mentally sharp and aware, yet burdened by fear. Fear is a natural human response, but we know that **2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB)** tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We pray that the Holy Spirit would fill her with His peace and cast out all fear, replacing it with an unshakable trust in the Lord’s sovereignty and goodness. May she rest in the assurance of **Isaiah 41:10 (WEB)**, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*
We also pray for her physical comfort, that the Lord would ease any pain or distress she may be experiencing. **Psalm 23:4 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me."* May she feel the Lord’s presence as a tangible comfort, knowing that He is holding her in His hands. We ask that if it is His will, He would grant her a full recovery, restoring her strength and breath. But above all, we pray that His will be done, trusting that His plans for her are good, whether in healing or in calling her home to be with Him.
If she does not know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, we pray that this time would be an opportunity for her to turn to Him in faith. **Romans 10:9 (WEB)** tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* There is no greater comfort than knowing that her eternity is secure in Christ. If she is already a believer, may this trial deepen her faith and draw her closer to Him.
We also lift up the one who submitted this request. It is evident that there is deep love and concern for this woman, and we pray that the Lord would grant you peace and strength as you support her. May you be filled with the hope of **Romans 15:13 (WEB)**, *"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this dear sister who is facing illness and fear. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You would touch her body, restoring her heart and lungs to full health if it aligns with Your will. We pray that You would remove all fear from her heart and fill her with Your peace, reminding her that You are with her always. Comfort her in every moment, Lord, and let her feel Your presence in a powerful way.
If she does not know You, we pray that You would draw her to Yourself, opening her heart to receive Jesus Christ as her Savior. Let this time be a testimony of Your love and grace, both to her and to those around her. Strengthen the hands and minds of the medical professionals caring for her, guiding them with Your wisdom.
We also lift up the one who has brought this request before us. Grant them comfort and assurance, knowing that You are in control. Fill them with Your peace as they walk alongside this woman, and let them be a source of encouragement and hope.
Above all, Father, we pray that Your will be done. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan, whether it is for healing here on earth or for her to be welcomed into Your eternal presence. We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can approach Your throne. Amen.
