We are grateful for your heartfelt concern for your ### and your desire to see him walk in the ways of the Lord. It is encouraging to see how God has been faithful to both of you, and we trust that He will continue to be at work in your ###'s life.
Firstly, we must address that prayer should be directed to God the Father only in the name of Jesus Christ His Son. We do not pray to anyone but Him. Prayer to Mary or any other departed saint is both unBiblical and inappropriate. Any prayer to them should be immediately repented of.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
You have done well to pray for your ### and to trust in God's faithfulness. The Bible tells us that "The prayer of the righteous person is very powerful in its effect." James 5:16 WEB.
We also need to remember that God has given each of us free will and that we cannot force someone to follow God's ways. Our role is to pray, to love, and to gently encourage, trusting that the Holy Spirit is at work in their life. "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:" 1 Peter 3:15 WEB.
Let us pray together for your ###:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our friend and ### to You. We thank You for the work You have already done in his life and for the faithfulness You have shown.
Lord, we ask that You would touch his heart again and draw him back to You. Help him to see that he is like a sheep who still needs the Good Shepherd. Reveal to him that You are the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through You John 14:16 WEB.
Give him a hunger and a thirst for righteousness, and a desire to be in Your word and among Your people again. Help him to understand that You have a purpose for him and that You are faithful to complete the good work You have started in him Philippians 1:6 WEB.
We pray he would see that the other influences in his life do not want the highest good for him and he would be alert, watchful, and discerning or this Proverbs 23:23 WEB.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
Continue to trust in God's faithfulness and to pray for your ###. Remember that God's timing is perfect, and He is always at work, even when we cannot see it. Be encouraged by the words of Galatians 6:9 WEB "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap at the proper time, if we do not give up."
