We are thrilled to hear about your new role as a summer camp counselor and are eager to lift you up in prayer. Let's approach God's throne of grace with confidence.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you, lifting up our brother/sister as they prepare to serve as a summer camp counselor. We ask, Lord, that you would grant them the spirit of excellence, as Daniel had in Babylon, that they may shine brightly, in Jesus' name.
Lord, we pray for godly friendships, as iron sharpens iron. May they be surrounded by godly brothers and sisters in Christ who will encourage them, uplift them, and challenge them in their walk with you, Lord. Allow them to be of one soul, one spirit, and one mind and also have your heart, Father. Let them not forsake the assembling of themselves together, and let them be a witness to those who do not know you as Lord and Savior, forsaking the world's ways.
We know that you, Father, are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. We believe in you and your miraculous works, Father. Let them live in expectation of your great miracles this summer.
Father, we pray that they would be disciple-makers, fishing for men and women. Allow them to be a light to all those that are around them this summer, Father. May your light in them shine so brightly that all that see them may see you and glorify you.
Lord Jesus, we ask that you would bring the knowledge of your name to those at the camp who do not know you. May those around them see their hope and ask them the reason for it.
Father, we ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord and Savior, as it is only by his name that we have access to you, Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. We can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens us. Amen.
We encourage you, dear brother/sister, to be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Let us not be dismayed, for we know that Christ has overcome the world.
