Prayer for my visitor extension request to be granted.

Disciple of Prayer
Dear prayer partners ! I wish to first give thanks to God for all he has done for me. Saving my life, sending his son Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world and promising life everlasting in his presence to those who believe and call upon his name. God bless you all and your family and friends. Today I ask for your prayers as I will be sending in a visitor extension request to the Canadian immigration on Friday. I have been in the country spending time with family and friends because I became unemployed since April 30th. I still don’t have a job to go back to Jamaica to as yet, and my family would like me to stay on more with them if I get the chance to. I have put all the documents I can place together to send in as supporting documents and they may not be the strongest but it’s what I have to support my request. My letter of request Supporting documents from my sister and my friend . Their letter of employment A letter from a former work colleague of mine who is a doctor. My sister and I birth certificate and my passport documents. I seek your prayer that these documents will be ok by the help of God and that I will be granted this additional stay I seek, in Jesus name amen.🙏🏾 . Thank you all for your prayers always. I appreciate it greatly and God bless!🙏🏾

We give thanks with you for the goodness of God and for your testimony of His saving grace through Jesus Christ, who died for the sins of the world and gives everlasting life to all who believe and call upon His name. We rejoice that you have acknowledged Him, for as it is written in Romans 10:13, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, and in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We join you in giving thanks for His mercy to you and we stand with you now in prayer for this need.

We hear your heart regarding your visitor extension request that you will submit to Canadian immigration. We understand the uncertainty you feel having been unemployed since April 30th, having no job to return to in Jamaica at this time, and desiring to remain longer with your family and friends who have welcomed you. We also understand your concern that the supporting documents you have gathered, including your letter of request, letters and employment letters from your sister and friend, a letter from your former colleague who is a doctor, and your birth certificates and passport documents, may not seem the strongest. We bring all of this before the Lord, trusting that He sees your situation fully and knows what is best for you.

We are encouraged to remember that God is sovereign over all our steps and even over the boundaries of where we dwell, for in Acts 17:26 we read that He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings. We are also called to honor and submit to the governing authorities He has established, as Romans 13:1 teaches, Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore we pray that you will continue to walk in complete honesty and integrity before the immigration officials, trusting God to honor truthfulness, and we pray for favor and wisdom for those who will review your application.

We encourage you to cast all your anxiety on Him in this waiting period. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Even as you hope for this extension, we encourage you to commit your way to the Lord and trust His perfect will, whether He grants this additional stay or directs your path back to Jamaica. For Jeremiah 29:11 declares, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And Philippians 4:19 assures us, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, including your need for employment and provision in the days ahead.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, giving You thanks for Your salvation, Your mercy, and Your loving kindness. We lift up this dear one to You and place this visitor extension request into Your hands. Lord, You know the documents that have been prepared and the heart behind them. We ask that You would grant favor in the sight of those who will review this application. If it is Your will, we ask that You open the door for this additional stay to be granted, that time with family and friends may be extended and used for Your glory. We pray that Your peace would guard this heart while waiting, and that You would provide guidance and opportunity for employment and provision, whether in Canada or in Jamaica, according to Your perfect plan. Help us all to remember Psalm 37:5, Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be praised whatever the outcome. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily, to rest in His peace, and to trust that He will lead you step by step and provide for every need as you walk in obedience to Him.

Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for beginning with thanksgiving. We can hear how much this time with family in Canada has meant to you, and also how heavy the uncertainty feels since losing work at the end of April and not yet having a job to return to in Jamaica.

You have done careful work gathering what you have, your letter, the letters from your sister and friend with their employment details, the note from your former colleague, your birth certificates and passport. It makes sense you would wonder if it will be enough. We join you in asking God to give favor with those who review it and to give you peace while you wait.

A small practical step that helps many in this waiting season is to keep a complete copy of everything you submit on Friday, save the submission receipt and any IRCC correspondence in one place, and check your account regularly for updates so you can respond quickly if anything more is requested. If questions come up, a trusted local immigration advice service can help clarify next steps alongside prayer.

Father, we thank You for this dear brother and for Your care over his life. We ask for Your kindness in this extension request, for wisdom for the officers reviewing it, and for clear direction for the months ahead whether the answer is to stay longer or to return. Give daily provision, calm and hope as he waits in Your hands. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have read your request with thankfulness and care, and we join you in giving thanks to God for His great mercy in saving your life through the death of His Son Jesus Christ, and for His promise of life everlasting to all who believe and call upon His name. That is the sure foundation, and we rejoice to hear you stand upon it.

We will bring your petition before the Lord, that He would look with favor upon your visitor extension request to be submitted on Friday, and upon the documents you have gathered with prudence, the letters from your sister and your friend, their employment letters, the letter from your former colleague, your birth certificates and passport papers. You have done what is prudent and right to prepare what you have, and we will pray that the Lord, who rules over the hearts of those in authority, will grant you favor in the eyes of those who review your case, if it be His wise and good will for you to remain a little longer with your family in Canada.

At the same time we would gently urge you, as our Saviour Himself teaches, not to be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry and distress about your temporal affairs. Be prudent, as you have been, but do not give way to anxiety. We have found by experience and observation that anxiety does not comfort, nor does it bring any meal to the barrel or provision to the table, and indeed the very anxiety which arises from being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. The Lord knows your unemployment since April and that you have no employment yet waiting for you in Jamaica, and He knows your desire to remain with your loved ones. He who supplied the widow's barrel so that meal taken out was yet not diminished, can and will supply all your need according to His riches. His barrel is inexhaustible.

You walk now in an untrodden way, and we encourage you to dismiss from your soul the anxiety that you must keep yourself. Cast your care upon Christ, who is the keeper of the divine life within you and the keeper of your outward path. Whether the door is opened for you to stay or whether He directs your steps back to Jamaica, trust that His providence is kind and His timing is perfect, and seek above all to be found faithful and obedient to His will and to the laws of the land where you sojourn.

So we pray, Father in heaven, we thank You for this soul who trusts in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would grant peace in place of anxiety, and that You would order this matter of immigration according to Your sovereign goodness. Grant favor where favor is needed, provide for daily bread and for honest employment in due time, and make Your glory great in this life, whether by staying or by going. Keep this one close to Christ, strengthen faith, and give contentment to abide in Your will. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus our Lord, Amen.
