Prayer for my team

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me and for my team. We are struggling a lot—so much that we are not able to secure even a single admission. I don’t understand why this is happening to me. I am doing everything I can. I am working hard, I am praying, I am reading the Bible—doing everything sincerely. Still, I cannot understand why this is happening only to me. There are 17 people working here with me. Out of them, 15 or 16 teams have already achieved admissions, but I have been struggling throughout the entire month of January and now this month as well. Despite all my efforts, I haven’t been able to close even one admission. The Bible says that the prayers of the righteous are heard, but I don’t understand what is happening in my case. Why am I facing this situation? Please pray and share with me why this might be happening to me and my team—that we are unable to secure even a single admission. I am struggling deeply, both last month and this month. Does this also happen to God’s people?

We hear your cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting up your team before the throne of grace. The struggle you describe is heavy, and the weight of unmet expectations can feel crushing, especially when you see others succeeding while you remain in this season of waiting. But we want to remind you that the Lord sees your labor, your tears, and your faithfulness. He is not indifferent to your pain, nor is He punishing you without purpose.

First, let us address your question about why this is happening. The Bible does not promise that hard work, prayer, and righteousness will always result in immediate earthly success. In fact, Scripture is filled with stories of God’s people facing trials, delays, and even seasons of apparent failure—yet these were often the very moments God was preparing them for something greater. Joseph was sold into slavery and imprisoned before he became a ruler. David was anointed king but spent years fleeing from Saul. The disciples fished all night and caught nothing until Jesus told them to cast their nets on the other side (John 21:3-6). Sometimes, God allows these seasons to refine our faith, deepen our dependence on Him, and redirect our steps.

You mentioned the verse about the prayers of the righteous being heard (James 5:16), and we affirm that God does hear you. But His answers are not always what we expect or on our timeline. Isaiah 55:8-9 reminds us, *"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways," says Yahweh. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."* This does not mean God is ignoring you—it means He is working in ways you cannot yet see.

We must also gently ask: Is there any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness in your heart that could be hindering your prayers? Psalm 66:18 warns, *"If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened."* Not every trial is a result of sin, but it is wise to examine our hearts before God. Have you sought His wisdom to discern if there is a lesson He wants you to learn, a character trait He is refining, or a new direction He is leading you toward?

We also encourage you to consider whether this season might be an opportunity to trust God in a deeper way. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Your understanding is limited—you cannot see the full picture—but God can. He may be protecting you from something you do not yet understand, or He may be preparing a breakthrough that will bring Him greater glory.

Now, let us pray for you and your team:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister and their team. Lord, You see their labor, their tears, and their faithfulness. You know the weight they carry, and You are near to the brokenhearted. We ask that You would strengthen them in this season, reminding them that their worth is not found in their success but in Christ alone. Father, we pray for breakthrough—whether that means admissions, a new strategy, or a fresh revelation of Your will. Give them wisdom, discernment, and favor in their work. If there is any hindrance in their hearts or circumstances, reveal it to them, Lord, and lead them to repentance and restoration.

We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and frustration in Jesus’ name. Replace their weariness with Your peace, their doubt with Your hope, and their confusion with Your clarity. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Strength, and their Reward. Help them to wait on You with patience, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we also pray for unity and encouragement among their team. Let them support one another, speak life into one another, and trust that You are with them even in this dry season. May this trial produce perseverance, character, and hope in them (Romans 5:3-4).

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the One who overcame the world and who intercedes for us even now. Amen.

Lastly, dear one, do not lose heart. The same God who parted the Red Sea, shut the mouths of lions, and raised Jesus from the dead is with you. He is not finished with you or your team. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep walking in obedience. Your breakthrough may be closer than you think.

We're right here with you, standing in the gap, lifting your team up in prayer. It's tough, isn't it? Seeing others succeed while you're in this season of waiting and struggle. But remember, our God is a God who sees, who knows, and who cares deeply about every detail of your life and your team's journey.

We want to encourage you with a thought from 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Jesus doesn't call us to be successful in our own strength, but to trust in Him, even in the midst of our struggles. He may be using this time to refine your faith, to deepen your dependence on Him, and to redirect your steps.

We also want to remind you of the story of the Israelites in the wilderness. They wandered for 40 years, yet God was with them every step of the way, providing for their needs, and leading them towards the Promised Land. This wasn't a punishment, but a process of growth and preparation.

Now, let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today, laying our brother/sister and their team at your feet. Lord, we ask that you would strengthen them in this season. Help them to trust in you, even when they can't see the full picture. Lord, we pray for breakthrough, whether that means admissions, a new strategy, or a fresh revelation of your will. Give them wisdom, discernment, and favor in their work. If there's any hindrance in their hearts or circumstances, reveal it to them, Lord, and lead them to repentance and restoration.

Remind them that you are their Provider, their Strength, and their Reward. Help them to wait on you with patience, knowing that you are working all things together for their good.

Lord, we also pray for unity and encouragement among their team. Let them support one another, speak life into one another, and trust that you are with them, even in this dry season. May this trial produce perseverance, character, and hope in them.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the One who overcame the world and who intercedes for us even now. Amen.

Keep trusting, keep seeking, and keep walking in obedience. Your breakthrough may be closer than you think. We're in this with you, every step of the way.
