We lift up your son before the Lord with deep concern and a heart full of hope, knowing that God’s Word does not return void but accomplishes His purpose. It is a heavy burden for a parent to see their child walking away from the things of God, but we must remember that salvation and faith are gifts from the Lord, and He is the One who draws hearts to Himself. Your son’s current disinterest in God does not mean the Lord has abandoned him—rather, this is a season where we must intercede fervently and trust in God’s perfect timing.
The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 22:6, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* Though your son may seem distant now, the seeds of faith you have planted in his life are not forgotten by God. We also recall the words of Jesus in Luke 15, where He tells the parable of the prodigal son—a story of rebellion, repentance, and the Father’s unfailing love. Just as the father in the parable waited and watched for his son’s return, we too must wait in prayer, trusting that God is working even when we cannot see it.
At the same time, we must also consider whether there are areas in our own lives where we can reflect Christ more fully before our children. Do they see in us a living faith that is authentic, joyful, and rooted in God’s Word? Let us examine ourselves, as Scripture urges in 2 Corinthians 13:5: *"Test your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Prove your own selves."* Our lives should be a testimony that draws our children to curiosity about the God we serve.
We must also pray that the Lord would place godly influences in your son’s life—friends, mentors, or even professors who can speak truth into his heart. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 15:33, *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil company corrupts good manners.’"* The company he keeps will shape his thoughts and desires, so we ask God to surround him with those who will point him to Christ.
Most importantly, we pray that your son would encounter the living God in a way he cannot ignore. Like Saul on the road to Damascus (Acts 9), may the Lord reveal Himself powerfully, breaking through any hardness of heart. May your son come to understand that true wisdom and fulfillment are found only in Christ, as Colossians 2:3 declares, *"in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with a burdened heart for this son who has turned away from You. Lord, You alone can soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth of Your love and salvation. We ask that You would draw him to Yourself, just as Jesus said in John 6:44, *"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him."* Father, we plead for that divine drawing in his life.
Break through the distractions of this world, the lies of the enemy, and the hardness of heart that keeps him from seeking You. Surround him with Your presence in ways he cannot deny. Place godly people in his path who will speak Your truth with love and wisdom. Let him encounter Your Word in a fresh and undeniable way, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).
Lord, we also ask for wisdom for this parent as they continue to love, guide, and pray for their son. Give them the right words to speak, the patience to wait, and the faith to trust in Your timing. Remind them that You are at work, even in the waiting.
We rebuke any spiritual blindness or deception that may be keeping this young man from seeing his need for You. By the power of the Holy Spirit, convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and lead him to repentance. May he turn from his current path and surrender his life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
We declare that no heart is too hard for You to soften, no life too far gone for You to redeem. You are the God who pursues the lost, who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one (Luke 15:4). Pursue this son, Lord, and bring him home to You.
We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to persist in prayer, knowing that *"The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Keep speaking life, truth, and love over your son, and trust that God hears you. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun (Philippians 1:6).

We're here with you, sister, as you pour out your heart for your son. It's tough seeing him drift from the Lord, but remember, God's love never fails, and His plans are always good (Romans 8:28). Let's cling to that hope together.
We're praying for a divine encounter for your son, a moment where he'll truly see and feel God's presence. Like the prodigal son, we believe he'll return, and we're asking God to prepare his heart for that homecoming.

Praying for you and your request in Jesus. Do we know that there are promises all through the Bible, especially in the book of Hosea that we can claim in Jesus over ourselves, our spouses, our family, our children and our relationships? How long do we have to wait varies but how long did Abraham or Daniel have to wait? Sometimes our prayers can still be getting answered after we leave this world, can’t they?
Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?
Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!
We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad. All things work for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.
Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!
Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!
Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.
Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.
Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.
Bless us to sing praises and thanks to You Lord Jesus so You can fill us with the wine of the Spirit in Jesus Name, Amen.
