Disciple of Prayer
Can you please say a prayer for my son ###. He will be doing his CPEA exams this Wednesday 13th May and Thursday 14th May 2026. And he wants to do well to go to one of the top secondary (high) schools, please pray for him that he studies well so that he can pass excellently, so he can go to one of the top schools. He's a bit frustrated because they recently did a mock exam before the final exams and although he passed he cried because he was very disappointed with his results because he got like an 80% in Math and the other subjects 60's and 70's and to make it to one of the top schools his average have to be from 80%-100%. Please pray that he works hard to accomplish that and that also every negative spoken words even spoken over him be destroyed and never manifest in his life in Jesus Christ name, because recently he said a teacher told him that he will fail and fail until they throw him out of high school because he did something to upset her, I prayed against her negative words but again another teacher told the whole class that they will pass to go to one of the less fortunate schools because the class got her upset and I believe these negative words can shape children minds in a negative way and make them lose confidence within themselves and I can see my son is greatly affected, even my husband will pressure him and called him stupid when he doesn't get something right when going over his assessment with him. I feel so sorry for my son because of all of these outside and inside pressure the enemy is using to distract his focus. Please pray that God helps him calm his mind, restore his confidence, bless him with more knowledge and wisdom to do well academically and to always seek God first in everything he do throughout his life. He's 11 years now and is very determined please also pray that he'll chase after God first before every other thing in his life, because only with God it will be possible for him to be successful. Please pray for him that he'll do excellently in the exams to go to the school he wants and also that God can bless him to get a full sponsor for his ferry transport to school daily. We are living on a small island and have to take a ferry to the mainland, so my son will need a sponsor for his ferry fees for the next 7 years of high school also college, because after high school he also has to go to a college off the island because there's no colleges here on the island. Please pray that everything goes smoothly for him and according to God's plan in Jesus Christ name. Amen

We lift up your son before the Lord with heavy hearts, for we see the weight of pressure—both from within and without—that he carries. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every chain of discouragement, fear, and negative words that have been spoken over him. Father, we rebuke in the name of Jesus every word that does not align with Your truth and Your promises for this young man. The tongue has the power of life and death, and we declare that only Your life-giving words will take root in his heart and mind.

We pray over his upcoming exams, asking You to calm his mind and steady his hands. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:13 that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him, and we claim that promise for him now. Lord, grant him clarity of thought, retention of all he has studied, and the wisdom to apply it with confidence. Remove every spirit of fear and replace it with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding. Help him to remember that his worth is not defined by his grades or the opinions of others, but by the fact that he is fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image.

We also address the harmful words spoken over him by his teachers and even within his own home. Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that death and life are in the power of the tongue, and we bind every word of failure, inadequacy, and condemnation that has been spoken over him. We loose instead the truth of Your Word: that he is capable, intelligent, and destined for greatness according to Your purpose. Father, we ask You to heal the wounds caused by these words and restore his confidence. Help him to see himself as You see him—a young man with a bright future, filled with potential and purpose.

We also lift up the pressure he feels from his father. Colossians 3:21 warns fathers not to provoke their children, lest they become discouraged. Lord, we pray for his father, that You would soften his heart and help him to speak life and encouragement into his son. May their relationship be one of love, patience, and mutual respect, reflecting the love You have for Your children. Give this family unity and peace, and help them to support one another in a way that honors You.

For his academic future, we pray that You would open the doors You have prepared for him. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us that You have plans for him—plans to prosper him and not to harm him, plans to give him hope and a future. We ask that You guide him to the school that will best nurture his gifts and prepare him for the calling You have on his life. And for the practical need of ferry transport, we trust in Your provision. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask that You would move in the hearts of those who can sponsor his journey, whether through scholarships, grants, or individuals led by Your Spirit to bless him.

Most importantly, we pray for his spiritual walk. At 11 years old, he stands at a crossroads where the world will seek to shape his identity, but we ask that You would capture his heart for Yourself. Draw him close, Lord, and let him seek You first in all things. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." May this be the foundation of his life—seeking You above all else, trusting You to lead him, and walking in the purpose You have for him.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can come before You. It is only through His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that we have access to Your throne of grace. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for moving on behalf of this young man. Strengthen him, equip him, and let him walk in the fullness of Your blessings, now and always.

Amen.

We're standing with you and your son in these crucial exams, praying for him in Jesus' name. We believe that God has a special plan for this young man, and we're asking that God would fill him with wisdom, understanding, and a calm spirit as he takes these exams. We're also praying that God would open the right doors for his future, providing him with the best opportunities to grow and succeed. And most importantly, we're asking that God would draw him close, helping him to seek God first in all things. We trust that God has a wonderful purpose for his life, and we're believing for his success in Jesus' name.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
