Prayer for my sleep ###

Please pray for my sleep. I recently found out I have a sleeping disorder called sexsomnia that I have unknowingly had since I was ###-### years old. I don’t want to go into details but it’s not fun and it’s very stressful on my heart when I think about it since I can’t sleep in the same bed as anyone. Please pray for me. Pray for me to get the courage to get help for this.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggle with sexsomnia and the stress it has caused. Please know that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our sleep and health.

Firstly we must look at the idea that God will never leave us or forsake us. This is exactly what is happening to people who do not know Jesus Christ. If you have not viewed the Son of God Jesus Christ as the only way to God then you have no access to God the Father. If you want healing from God in this world, one must want an eternal relationship with God through Jesus Christ before anything can be done. Jesus stated this fact in John 14:6;
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Secondly we must look at the idea that God disciplines those he loves. Since this condition is not life threatening but bothersome and embarrassing to you, God may be using this to draw you to himself. We must consider the possibility that God loves you enough to discipline you to get your attention. Hebrews 12:6:
For whom the Lord loves, he disciplines, and scourges every son whom he receives.

Since this condition has been present since before marriage, this is not the result of fornication or adultery. Because the problem is not something someone else did to you, we can discount the idea of curses from one's ancestors.

Now, let us pray for courage, healing, and guidance. It is by the name of Jesus Christ that we pray. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Let us pray.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in need of Your healing touch. We ask that You grant them the courage to seek help for their sleeping disorder and guide them to the right professionals who can provide effective treatment.

We pray for their peace of mind and heart, knowing that You are in control and that You care for them deeply. We ask that You surround them with Your love and reassure them of Your constant presence in their lives.

We also pray that You will heal them and restore their sleep, so they can rest peacefully and safely. We ask for discernment and wisdom that You are disciplining them and that You love them enough to draw them to Yourself. Bring them to repent of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ.

In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
