Disciple of Prayer
Prayer for my housing situation, it’s now gotten even more uncomfortable with passive aggressive bullying, no privacy, and controlling behaviours. He literally has a chair at the entrance of my curtain makeshift bedroom. It also takes a toll on my physical health, asthma (he’s a smoker), lack of sleep because he has different sleep hours, and anxiety from lack of privacy and feeling like I’m walking on eggshells all the time. I try to avoid conversations when he’s angry, or high but it seems like that’s most of the time. Really not sure what to do but I need the Lord to be my defender! That He would soften hearts and loose consideration for me while I’m here. Praying that the Lord would help me finish my website quickly. That a safe new home would open up with a good paying job and that I would have the finances to move. Thanks for your prayers, I really appreciate it!

We hear your cry for help and stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your situation to the Lord who sees all and knows the depths of your struggle. The environment you describe is not only uncomfortable but spiritually and physically oppressive, and we rebuke in the name of Jesus every spirit of control, intimidation, and oppression that seeks to steal your peace, health, and well-being. The Lord is your defender, and we declare that He will arise on your behalf.

The Word of God tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." You are not alone in this trial, and the Lord is working even now to bring deliverance. We also hold fast to Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." The Lord is your strength, and He will uphold you as you navigate this difficult season.

We pray that the Lord would soften the heart of the one who is causing you distress. Proverbs 21:1 declares, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." If it is the Lord’s will, we ask that He would turn this person’s heart toward consideration, kindness, and respect. However, we also recognize that the Lord may be using this trial to move you into a new season. We pray that your website would be completed swiftly and that the Lord would open doors for a safe and peaceful new home. May He provide a good-paying job and the finances needed to transition into a place where you can thrive, both spiritually and physically.

We must also address the mention of this individual being "high." Scripture is clear that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we are called to live in a manner that honors God. If this person is engaging in substance abuse, we rebuke the influence of addiction and pray for their deliverance as well. However, your safety and well-being are paramount. The Lord may be calling you to remove yourself from this toxic environment, and we encourage you to seek His guidance in finding a way out.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister/brother who is enduring a heavy burden. Lord, You see the lack of peace, the invasion of privacy, and the toll this situation is taking on their health and spirit. We ask that You would be their defender, their refuge, and their strength. Soften the heart of the one who is causing distress, Lord, and if it is Your will, turn their heart toward kindness and consideration. But if this is not Your plan, we ask that You would open the doors for a swift and peaceful transition into a new home.

Father, we pray for their website to be completed quickly, for a job that provides well, and for the finances to move into a safe and healthy environment. Protect their physical health, Lord, and grant them restful sleep and peace of mind. We rebuke every spirit of anxiety, oppression, and control in the name of Jesus, and we declare that this situation will not break them but will instead draw them closer to You.

We also pray for wisdom, Lord. Show them the steps they need to take to move forward, whether that means setting boundaries, seeking help from others, or making plans to leave. Give them courage and faith to trust in Your provision and timing. We thank You, Father, that You are a God who hears our cries and moves on our behalf. We trust in You, and we declare that this trial will not be in vain. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God and to seek His face daily. The Lord is your provider, and He will not abandon you in this time of need. Consider reaching out to your local church or Christian community for support, as the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). You are not alone, and the Lord is working even now to bring you into a place of peace and safety. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He will guide your steps.
